To Pack, Or Not To Pack ? That Is The Question…

November 2nd.

Mike woke up earlier then he’s used to so he could head to the bush and join Dad and Nathin for a day of  real Canadian mans work.

A snap Dad sent me.

I got out of bed a bit later and after the waking up time was over, started to bake the blackberry cobbler Mendy had made for us in Az.
Simple recipe, simple instructions.

Results, incorrect but still pretty tasty 😉

Recipes you eat somewhere else never seem to be the same when you yourself have to make them.

Once that was done I began the slow process of sorting through clothes and room items.
What to take, what to leave…
Do I neeeeeed that or just think I do 😜

Taking a break from piling clothes and belongings, I headed upstairs.
Mom and I watched a show and talked awhile.
We finally had a moment to just sit so I showed her the honeymoon pictures before Becca and the kids came over.

Emily and Spencer stayed at the house with me while Mom and Becca went for a jog.

Once everyone was back from work and jogging we sat down for a family supper mom had prepared.

French onion soup and even some left over wedding burgers to fry up 😋

Spent the evening visiting.
Mike was over exerted from his work day so he laid in bed and fell asleep at 7:00 p.m 😜
Once Nathin, Becca and the kids left it was back to the basement to finish up packing. Mike was awake again after his evening nap and was going to fit in the piles I passed him.

Packing is sad.
Everyone but Mike had a turn crying.

Enough tears for one night so we headed upstairs to sit and just be together.

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
