Preps For The Weekend Away

November 12th.

Getting settled in my morning routine.
Let the kittens out, start the coffee, clean up the kitten room, pour my coffee (maybe get a breakfast made) sit in the living room and read a bit before deciding what to accomplish in the day ahead.

Finished fully cleaning out the rest of the dining room cupboards and put away dishes that were already at the cottage that I won’t be needing.
I made some chicken soup with the leftover rice and beans to put in my itty bitty freezer to have on hand for whenever I need something easy.

Still more rice left, so I whipped a small rice pudding thing up.

After the morning cooking and baking was all finished up, it was time to go get the bedroom cleaning started… I’ve been dreading unpacking everything but it was getting a bit hard to maneuver the maze of clothing and suitcases😁
I’m more then a little embarrassed to show you the before picture.

The room didn’t get fully deep cleaned but the closets did and the suitcases were now packed away and all the clothes hung and folded 👌

Aunty Yvonne wanted to have a renter chat with us before we headed to Doesburg for the weekend.
It was a small supper made by getting odds and ends out of the fridge.

Which I concocted into tomato, bacon, cheese and chicken lunch meat sandwiches for supper.

Went to have talk with Aunty about renter stuff.
Garbage, keys, monthly dinners together etc.
The normal stuff 😋

After that it was time to grab our bags and the kittens and start the drive to John and Inges.
Time to spend the weekend back in Mikes town, where he knows what stores are what and where they are.
