Visitors Gone As Well As The Mess

Tuesday 2nd –
More cleaning.
Laundry and beds folded up and put away.
Sweeping, vacuuming and all the little stuff in-between.

Our room looked like a small explosion had went off in it due to all the packing, unpacking and repacking so by the time all that was put to rights it took a fair chunk out of the day.

The other chunk of the day was used trying to paint a little wee canvas.
I wasted I don’t know how long on that and then ended up washing the whole thing off and putting all the art supplies away without having anything to show for it.

Mike went to a trade show/food fair kind of thing for work and it was fairly close to John and Inges so he stopped there once he was done and had supper with them 😊

Earlier that day I found a lovely notebook left in the mailbox for me from Pro β˜ΊοΈπŸ’•πŸ“˜

Wednesday 3rd –

Canvas painting try Number 2.

This time with slight success at least😁🎨

Trying to catch up on the writing from having J+P here was proving much more time-consuming then I at first thought.
Turns out when you actually have events to recall and photos to choose it takes some effort 😏

Also time-consuming is writing cards which I’ve been attempting to accomplish 😬

Supper was ‘million dollar spaghetti’ … I feel like the name is a little bit of a lie since I wouldn’t pay more than maaaaybe eighteen dollars for it but hey I didn’t name it… It’s just what I had (most) ingredients for.
It was good but I think it needs the cottage cheese (that I did not have) to tone down the cream cheese part.
Turned out to be better the day after.
That seems to be how it works for pasta dishes sometimes.

🍝 Million dollar spaghetti 🍝

A slight joke when J+P were here was that Mike made such an effort to get our newer/bigger couch here so we could have more seating when they came but Josh ended up unintentionally laying across the couch whenever Mike was headed to it.
So Mike said that at least when Josh left he’d get to use his couch finally!

This particular night I looked up and I seen Fiji sprawled out on a blanket in the middle of the couch while Mike and I were sitting on the floor… Seems like Mike isn’t destined to use his couch after all 😜

Thursday 4th –

Tried to order a gift for Mike for Valentine’s Day but the website was entirely in Dutch and then I couldn’t change information or figure out what meant what so I left it for later.

Meaning I asked Mike if he wanted a fondue pot still and he said yes so I told him to order one for himself 😏😜

Mom had sent a book with Pro for me to read and I was supposed to in turn send it back but I forgot…
It was written by our former art teacher, Christina Thoen.
I found it was as enjoyable to read as my 9 year old memories are of her teaching me how to draw a cat πŸ˜‰
I finished reading the book in hopes of getting it mailed back to her without too much more time passing 😁
Supper – Chicken salad with a strawberry poppy-seed dressing and candied pecans…
I should not make those if I plan on trying to be healthy with salads 😬

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
