Back to school, Back To Groceries And Back To Bed

Friday 5th –

This was the first day of school for Mike.
From now on his Fridays will be school filled due to another aspect of his job.

A grocery list had to be completed for the next day since we didn’t really remember the last time we had been to the grocery store, so a little inventory had to be taken.

Laundry done, blah blah, this and that… nap time 😄

I was napping when Mike got back from school so he let me be ( Good man 😉👌🏻) and went for a nap himself.

I woke up and warmed up spaghetti and popped a pizza into the oven for supper.

We ate that and decided not much else was to be done… so back to bed!

I wasn’t tired since I had napped longer than Mike, so I got up and watched a movie on the couch while drinking some instant coffee and scrolling through insatgram etc.

Mike woke up around 12:00 a.m. and decided he wanted hot chocolate and to watch the movie and peruse social media with me.

So after three naps between the two of us we decided it was bedtime for real at 1:30 a.m.

Saturday 6th –

Grocery day, recycle day.

Mail day too since I got a valentine’s day card and gift from mom and dad ☺️

Off to town to fill the trunk and empty the wallet.

Kibbeling to finish the town trip off… but not to be eaten in the Audi.
Fish must be ate outside of the car no matter the chilly weather… according to Michiel’s lame car rule.

Unpacked the groceries and then Mike began to make me supper.
He had bought some seasoned chicken to fry up along with potatoes and he did it well 😊

Later that evening we got a chance to FaceTime my brother and sister-in-law and the little nephew.
It was nice to catch up 😊💕👫👶🏻

Sunday 7th –

I got myself ready for church and Mike slept.
It’s really not fair… Im tempted to make him wear a wig that he has to make publicly presentable before he can do anything else that day.
Just so he can see the annoyance of it 😁

Though once he woke up he did make me sugar bread french toast with whipped cream ☺️

The rest of the day was kind of the Sunday usual.
Church service followed by some mingling… home for a nap and the rest of the evening spent eating and relaxing.
Though when I awoke from my nap, Michiel wasn’t at the cottage.
Turns out he had an urge to go for a jog 😏

I took burgers out to eat whenever we decided to and later Mike fried them up.
I really am pretty lucky with how much my dude cooks for me 😁

(Sour dill pickles courtesy of Pro packing them along from Az. 👌🏻)

Neither of us like paper work but it has to be done… so we figured out a few things and then it was bedtime.
Have to try to go to bed at a more normal time since one of us works 😏

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
