Sunny Skies And Greasy Fries

Monday 29th –

Writing, painting and jotting down some ideas filled up my morning.

The sun was brightly shining and you know it has to be a nice day if I willingly go outside πŸ˜‰ Which I did.

I went for a walk/jog along the path behind our cottage and even though it was still windy it was as enjoyable as a tiring jog can be πŸ˜‹

The house needed cleaning and laundry needed doing.
Strange how cleaning takes longer, but I’d way rather clean then hang laundry 😏

I made myself a wrap for supper as Mike had driven to Belgium for work and stayed late to play soccer with his cousins.

He called on his way home and requested that a smoothie be waiting for him when he got back… Around 1 a.m. 😏

(My families big on leaving notes 😜 )

Tuesday 1st –

I treated myself to a pot of coffee made with the good coffee beans 😁
They won’t be lasting long and the bag Mike and I got to try didn’t have the same aroma or taste πŸ˜’

Back to painting I went.
Mom suggested an idea to me for something we can do when her and dad come ( IN ONE MONTHπŸ˜„ ) and it involves having a few paintings prepared πŸ˜‰

As I sat painting I heard an annoying little ticking sound… It was driving me crazy.
I looked outside and I didn’t see any rain and nothing inside should have been making that noise.
Upon closer inspection I seen little, bitty hail stones bouncing around on the patio cement.
It didn’t stop for over an hour πŸ™„

I had croissant roll dough that needed to be used up so I improvised and made little cinnamon bun style things out of it.

I went outside to pick some flowers and twigs for an art project I wanted to try.

While on the treasure gathering route, I sidetracked to the mail box.
Two packages from mom (one for Mike specifically since he complained he wasn’t getting any mail πŸ˜‹) and a postcard from a good friend back home who knows me and my sarcasm all too well πŸ˜‰
It was a good mail day πŸ“¬πŸ’Œ

Mike suggested that for supper I should try a dish we had both seen on Facebook.
It was a good suggestion and a tasty recipe if your feeling up to some grease.
Fries cooked with cheese, chicken, bacon and ranch dressing on top… like an intense poutine, without the gravy 😜
You can find the recipe under the “Deliciousness (Recipes I’ve Appreciated)” Category.
We had sent off some marriage paperwork for authentication, proper processes etc. etc. only to receive it back stating it was the wrong document SIZE…So a new, properly sized document had to be ordered.
Of course that’s when the internet decides to stop working and the information in turn had to be re-entered four times πŸ™„

‘Mission: impossible’ got some attention but I’m easily distracted and patience quickly fades…

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
