Recommended Guests ๐Ÿ‘ฅ

Sunday 20th –

How I dream of sun filled days, t-shirts and flip flops.
The dream is a little closer to becoming reality with the first day of spring now checked off the calendar.๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒทโ˜€๏ธ

Mikes friend Kristian came back over for breakfast along with the guy he was staying with, Durk.
(Also Mikes friend, I think he knows more people then I’ve met my whole life๐Ÿ˜)

Mike was the one who offered they come for breakfast, so he was the one in charge of making it while I got ready for church.

I in turn got to listen to the intensely interesting conversation of three males over food preparation.
They divulged dreams of having a room with specific stoves for specific meats, guessed at the age of our cat, discussed the best methods of making french toast, how dress shirts wrinkle and more fascinating subjects ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜œ

I finished getting ready, met Durk and sat down to eat the sugar bread french toast that Mike had prepared for us all.

They drove with us to church and were entertained with Mike and my expressive actions to go along with the songs.
I donโ€™t know why actions to go along with song are so entertainingโ€ฆ most people I know, would know that descriptive actions are kind of required to even listen to music? ๐Ÿ˜

Church service was enjoyed and a short amount of visiting followed before the boys drove me back to the cottage.
They wanted to go see some other friends at a church around an hour away so they needed to leave right away to make it at time.
Iโ€™d had a terrible sleep and my lower back was aching so an hour-long drive and then sitting more wasnโ€™t sounding very appealing, thus them dropping me off at the cottage.

I had the pleasant task of cleaning up the remains from breakfast but I couldnโ€™t complain since Mike had made it all โ˜บ๏ธ

I seen a recipe for quick chocolate cakes and decided to try to make it to go with the coffee for the boys that Mike had requested.

The coffee I spilt after having ground the beans and thinking to myself how surprised I was that I HADN’T spilt grounds yet… I always jinx myself like that ๐Ÿ™„

The cakes were easy enough to make but tasted kind of like lame brownies.
Kristian and Durk are polite and very easy to please, or very good at lying because they had plenty of good things to say about the cake and there shouldnโ€™t have been anything good to say about it besides the fact it was warm and I put caramel sauce on it ๐Ÿ˜œ
Or maybe they are just bachelors who havenโ€™t had the chance to taste real goodness in a while๐Ÿ˜‰
Either way, I would recommend them as guests ๐Ÿ˜‹

They didnโ€™t stay much longer then the cake and coffee lasted since Mike had to pack and then ย hit the hay because he had to leave the house by 5:30 am. the next morning to fly to Hungary for work.

Monday 21st –
Mike said goodbye and I tossed and turned for an hour or so until falling back to sleep until 10๐Ÿ˜Š

As I wondered if there was more toothpaste in the bathroom besides the tube Mike had taken with him, I happened to look closer at my toothbrush, only to find it already loaded with paste.

(P.s the sink is stained like that I really do clean it ๐Ÿ˜)

Not sure โ€˜loadedโ€™ is the right word but you get what I mean ๐Ÿ˜‰ He thinks of things I never ever would ๐Ÿ˜

Sheets were washed and hung all over the house ๐Ÿ˜

I got the coffee brewing and took a seat to write down the names of the giveaway entrรฉes but waited until the evening to announce the already announced winner ๐Ÿ˜‰

That same winner and I were finally able to have a FaceTime date โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ’•

Hereโ€™s the hair wrap picture I promised, ignore the un hairsprayed hair/odd face. Please and thank you ๐Ÿ™‚

Chicken soup in a cup (bowl) was my gourmet lunch.

Cheese and poppy-seed bread from Sarah was snacked on throughout the day.
I think her kind surprise package was actually an attempt to get me fat? ๐Ÿ˜

Garbage bins were hauled down the lane to the main road for emptying the next day and mail was checked.
Itโ€™s disappointing not having any mail, but more so when you specifically wait a few days and still have none ๐Ÿ™„

I have to make a paleo dessert come the weekend so I turned to pinterest to search something up only to discover that people who eat paleo must live much sadder lives as the desserts I seen donโ€™t look all that appetizing ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
If anyone knows of a nummy, paleo desert, please let me know!

Hello humans ๐Ÿ˜Š This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life ๐Ÿ˜Š

    1. Thanks, t was super easy! ๐Ÿ™‚ I never thought that I could make it separate and add it into my hair whenever I wanted until after I did it haha. So I did a small, very moused braid and wrapped around it with embroidery floss.
