Water Stains And Wild Flowers 🌸💧

Wednesday 30th –

Mike had a customer to visit that morning before finishing his work from home.

I scrubbed down the ‘powder room’ and was happy with the disappearance of water stains via the previously applied vinegar.
It did more than I had expected and it’s also sad to me that my life now means happiness on finding water stains removed.

So much laundry for so few people…

Mike wanted to go for a walk, I wanted to go for a nap.
So you see where a deal was in the making 😎

I agreed that if I could nap, we could walk afterwords.
The nap turned into a two-hour sleep and the sun was fading fast.
I told Mike we could still take a quick walk if he wanted but by then he wanted food more than a walk and he said it would be too dark (it wasn’t 😏).

I was going to start making supper but then I got a FaceTime call from my mom and friend Mel😊
They were having a fun, crafting day together and decided to include me, which was appreciated 💕
Once I was off the phone with them it was time to cook.

Pineapple filled with chicken and rice was once again cooked up and served and just as enjoyed as the first time I made it 😊🍍

I’ll be sharing the recipe under ‘Deliciousness (recipes I’ve appreciated)’.

Thursday 31st –

Morning came with coffee… and no banana chocolate chip muffins.☕️

So I had to make some.
That would take way to much time and effort for just breakfast but I made them anyways as I had been planning on pre preparing some for when the parents are here  😊

After that long task, another was in store.

Cleaning my closet.

I may be able to keep most areas of the house clean and tidy but my closest is one area I have never been able to keep organised,
It was time to remedy that.
And TIME is what it took but the end result of neatly folded clothes and straightly hanging garments was very satisfying.
(I also now believe that cleaning closest pre-visitors is a weird and slightly unfortunate characteristic all us Peters woman have… not just my mom 😜)

I found my free face mask sample in the mailbox from Nudi!

The packaging was cute, the sample size and design was good and the smell was evident and pleasant but not too strong.
I was looking forward to testing it ☺️
But not for long.
After applying it to my face, it started burning enough for me to wash it off and after washing it off I could distinctly see where I had the mask applied or not, due to bright red skin.
Unfortunately, I can not give Nudi a good review but then again I’m only one person with possibly sensitive skin.
It did smell good 😏

I still had leak burger soup in the freezer so it was time to use it up 🍵
I made some garlic, cheese bread to go along with the soup and Mike and I both enjoyed supper.

(First time that’s happened in a while 😋)

Dinner done, Mike insisted on his postponed walk becoming a reality.
After slight pushing I reconciled and went out… and it actually wasn’t terrible😉
We took Fiji with for the first little bit but he freaked out and ran home so it was just the two of us.

I found a few treasures along the way and made up a minnie nature bouquet with them back at the cottage.

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
