You Get a Ferrari, I Get A Ferrari, Everybody Gets A Ferrari!

Friday 22nd –

On the way to the airport to pick up Aunty Gail and Miles, we passed this TRAILER FULL OF FERRARIS 😍❀️

We welcomed them to Europe and sat down for some drinks and a morning snack before sending Mom, Aunty and Miles off to the Keukenhof gardens for the remainder of the day.

Mike, Dad and I had the job of fitting all of mom and dads luggage, all of Aunty and Miles’s luggage PLUS one of our own bags into the car😜
It was a very cramped (but at least short) ride to the hotel.

We dropped the large amount of the luggage off… Laughing at the thought of everyone around us thinking three people had brought in over 8 bags for their weekend stay 😜

That being down we headed back out in search of food.
I was starving and dad had mentioned kibbeling so eventually Mike found a spot and we engulfed the burning hot bits of fish.

When we finished there, something sweet was still calling to us.
I seen a review for ‘Luciano’s Ijssalon’ so we headed there to try the supposedly amazing ice cream.
Dad and Mike went ahead while I peeked into a store that had a scarf I really liked.
I didn’t buy it so I headed off to go spend money on ice cream instead.

The reviews were correct and the ice cream was super delicious.
The coffees were served with baby ice cream cones beside ☺️🍦

Though the coffee was crazy strong… Almost acid tasting.
But other than that, I’d go again without a seconds hesitation 😁

Mom, Aunty and Miles checked in a few times telling us how far they’d made it in the gardens and we arranged a time to meet them for supper.

We went back to the hotel to relax until that time came.

We went to ‘Rhodos’ and sat down for a Greek/Mediterranean meal.
It turned out to be very good!
Calamari and fried cheeses were the appetizers chosen and I’m now thinking I need to try baking and frying more than just mozza 😏

We all ordered a variety of dishes and were all pleased with them.

A dessert tray offering a sampling of each desert available was ordered by mom and dad and Mike and I ended up sharing it with them😁

I now know I love baklava ❀️

There wasn’t enough room in the car for everyone so Mike took Aunty and Miles first and then drove back for mom, dad and I who had got a coffee and waited at McDonald’s since it was way to cold to be outside.

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
