Wednesday 11th –
Once coffee had been poured I warmed up a stroopwafel, sat down at the computer and tried to post the previous day’s writings… usually requiring another stroopwafel 😏
The sunny day meant I moved outside.
Hubster came home with flowers and a sweet note.
Helping in my forgiving him for going out to eat with his friend for one of my favourite meals while I stayed to make my own meal at the cottage 😏
He went out to eat and I went out for a jog.
The 3km felt much longer then 18 minutes and the people swimming in the river near the cottage made it seem awfully tempting 😜
I fried chicken and toasted some garlic bread… and ate it all.
It was originally meant for two people 😏😜
That is my struggle with exercising.
I do something that is supposed to make me lose weight, gain muscle, get stronger, be healthier, blah blah… but once I move more than usual I become a ravenous monster that only thinks about food for the rest of the day 🙄😬🍴🍴
Thursday 12th –
With the warmer weather our room has been staying to hot to sleep in comfortably… I prefer arctic conditions for bedtime.
Warm temperatures plus aching legs (blasted run🙄) and wisdom tooth trying to come in meant for a not so great night.
I was still tossing and turning when Mike left for his flight to Switzerland at 4:00 am.
I stayed up until 6:30, chatting with some folks at home since times were right and then finally fell asleep until 10 👌🏻
His quick and casual reply was, ‘Oh, it’s from a naked snake’.
So ya, that’s something they have here.😳
It was another beautiful day at the cottage with +25 weather but Mikes weather in Switzerland not so much, unfortunately for him as he was walking away the rest of his day once business was finished.
Fiji has been very non energetic with the heat so he goes inside to sleep and I go outside to get sun 😜
I waited until evening to bake some banana chocolate chip muffins. Hoping they were good enough to be worth the heated up house…
They were 😁
Mike got home and it was his awaiting job to remove Fiji’s ticks 😬
They are very abundant here it seems.
Anyone know of a good tick repellent to put on cats??
One lady we asked at a pet store told us cats handle them well so we don’t need to bother doing anything… even if that may be but it’s ME who can’t handle seeing/feeling them on him 🙄😜
