Life Is Just Peachy, Honey πŸ˜πŸ‘

Thursday 19th –

We had appointments in Germany and Doesburg area so we left the cottage around 1:00 pm after a quick lunch was eaten.

Leftover pasta was heated up and some tasty wraps made by Mike… Ain’t no way I’d be able to roll them all perfect like that 😜 We stopped to print papers at John and Inge’s and then Inge joined us on our short trip to Elten.

Mike went to the appointment and Inge and I explored town a bit.
Popping inside a couple of second hand stores to see what goodies they could be hiding.

 πŸ˜Š
We drove to a lookout point in the town and stopped to see what the view had to offer.

The bird song here mixed with all the lush greenery and humidity do give it a feel of the tropics… When you’re not surrounded by buildingsπŸ˜‹

Mail and errands were completed in Elten and Doesburg and then back to the house we went, where Mike and I then cleaned out the car 🚘✨

Inge prepared us a tasty supper, I should have asked the name of the dish I suppose 😏

But name or not I really enjoyed it and Mike said it was always one of his favourites growing up.

Once supper was finished we moved outside to enjoy the sun they were having in Doesburg.
Unlike the dreary weather back at the cottage in Dalfsen area πŸ™„

Baked peaches with honey, nuts and ice cream was served up for dessert.Mike then set up Inge’s hammock so it could be tested out 😊

Not by him though.. they only have small trees in their yard, which they’d like to keep πŸ˜‹

Friday 20th –

Mike decided to work since we didn’t have anything else to do and the weather was still lacking in the ‘nice’ factor πŸ™„

The last of our fried mozza was enjoyed for lunch.

To occupy ourselves for the evening he suggested we go check out kitchens for fun.
Since the place we are looking into possibly purchasing would preferably get a kitchen update.

So our afternoon was spent dreaming and then picking up Barbershop for supper.

Once supper was done with, it was time to test the mango, raspberry sherbet I had made the morning before.

It was fairly good πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Mike wanted to go for a walk, so after some convincing we headed out for a brief jaunt.

Catching the sunset and seeing some new blossoms along the way… Fiji also joined us.

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
