True Love Is Giving Up Your Food πŸ’—

Saturday 21st –

Mike made me poffertjes for breakfast ☺️
I’d say he made ‘us’ the mini, pancake like meal, but where I ate around 50, he ate only about 5 πŸ™ˆ

He kept offering me more and they are very small and covered in butter and icing sugar so of course I kept accepting.

I wouldn’t have if I’d known he would end up without any for himself, but to be honest I never would have thought he’d sacrifice his food to me.
I felt truly loved at that moment 😜

I believe that Saturday was one of the laziest days we have on record.
We did nothing but sit, lay and sleep until around 5:30 pm.
I decided I should exercise and that maybe made Mike think he should do something too as he got ready to go for a jog.
(I think we were both just trying to justify the lack of accomplishment the rest of the day 😜)
I went with him and we walked/jogged 3 km.

Mike watched some soccer and ate some chips as his cool down.
I had a shower and then began making a very NON low-fat supper 😜

Bacon wrapped chicken, fried potatoes and fried zucchini.

It was really tasty so that pretty much diminished any feelings of guilt for eating it 😏

Sunday 22nd-

I spent my morning listening to a tape, drinking chai latte and drawing β˜•οΈπŸ’»πŸ–Š πŸ’• Mike was with friends at a soccer game so that left me alone for the whole day.

(Only the right drawing is mine 😁)

I had some pickles wrapped in chicken lunch meat and mustard along with salt and vinegar chips…I’m slowly diminishing my last bag 😬

There was no room in our freezer for the extra buttercream icing we had hanging around, so I decided to make some chocolate cupcakes to use it up.Only to find out later that night that Mike, ‘Doesn’t really liiiike icing on stuff’.

Who doesn’t like buttercream icing?? 😳

Mike came back from soccer and after a quick catch up of our days thus far, we decided a nap was the most appropriate way to spend the rest of the afternoon 😏

Once our nap was over… 3.5 hours later, it was time to have supper!
Our lives are action packed πŸ˜‰

I added some more toppings to the frozen pizzas we had and we watched a detective movie series while they cooked.

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
