Fading Away With Every Fry

Thursday 2nd –

A lot of writing to catch up on and another painting to finish.

The writing may seem minimal and as though it shouldn’t take up to much time but by the time I get everything remembered, wrote out and photos ready to go with, it takes up a fair amount of the day.

I also may or may not have spent some time searching online for a nice band to go with my wedding ring πŸ˜πŸ˜‰πŸ’
It didn’t come with one and the way the side sticks out means no straight bands sit nicely with it soo I’m just keeping an eye out for whenever we decide I deserve even more shiny things 😁

Mike wasn’t feeling super hungry so I made some crab melts for myself and had an early supper.
He heated some up once he got back from work and then suggested we head to town for something to do.

He did say we could look for a ring but I can’t really justify that right now so we window shopped instead πŸ˜‹

We picked up a few minor odds and ends and then back to the cottage we went.

Friday 3rd –

Mike worked from home.

I did too 😜
I was finally able to finish the cup painting I had been asked to try painting for someone.

Mom and I had a chance to FaceTime and discuss our mutual dissatisfaction of our recently created pieces of art.
Why people who say they ‘like’ being crafty can never actually be happy with what they create is a tad flabbergasting but very true, in my family at least 😏😜

I then had to make burgers for Sunday lunch.
John, Inge, Sarah, Erwin and the girls would be coming over.

Day before we had got a picture frame for the car painting, so I entrusted Mike to cut the painting to size.
He is a lot better at being precise then I am 😜

We decided to be lazy and get snacks for supper.
Mike went out to get the food and I finished up the burgers and got a grocery list together for the next day.

Supper was enjoyed as much as greasy, fried snacks can be while you think of all the exercise you’ve been doing the past days fading away with every fry 😜

I exercised to appease the guilt and Mike cheered me on from his comfortable place in bed 😏

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
