Simple Summer Days πŸ˜Šβ˜€οΈπŸ‘

Wednesday 22nd –

Rebecca came over with Spencer and once both the babes went for naps, the rest of us went outside to exercise.

Setting up seven different moves to rotate in doing.                                                                                Not enough were in the shade but we managed to survive and then it was lunch time on the deck since Alaina wanted a ‘picnic’.

Mom made her wonderous sandwiches and we ate them along with chips, iced tea and then cookies.

Alaina informed us she had planned it ALL and her picnic was perfect 😏

After that we headed to the truck to sit in our pool and enjoy the sunshine filled afternoon
β˜ΊοΈβ˜€οΈπŸ’¦

It was back and forth between the pool and playing badminton for most of the afternoon.
Once we went inside, sunburns were evident😁

Pro was making pasta and shrimp for supper and I wanted the spicy shrimp that Becca had made before, so I got the recipe from her and worked on preparing that.

I love the shrimp very, very much and I’m not even a fan of spicy stuff πŸ˜³πŸ˜πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸŒΆπŸ”₯

(The recipe will soon be shared πŸ˜‰)

Supper was enjoyed and devoured 😁

Oh how the outdoors work up an appetite… or at least make a good excuse for it 😜

The usual after supper routine is clean up the kitchen, get the coffee brewing, sit around the table visiting and then slowly either kid duty calls a few away or the heat calls us to sit outside.

All in all it’s usually a relaxed evening spent together.

Thursday 23rd-

Pro and I had to go into town to check if Prince Albert happened to have a place that would renew our passports.
They did, but only if we could wait over four weeks to get the new ones πŸ™„

Over to Safeway we went for our required groceries, Starbucks and lunch of potato wedges and chicken wings πŸ˜πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ—β˜•οΈ

Then a ride home full of overly dramatic songπŸ˜‹

Back at the house groceries were unpacked, chats chatted and such activities as life usually requires done.

Eventually we headed to the outdoors as the weather had been staying very hot.

There were attempts of playing badminton between child relocating and or snacking, then a couple of moments sitting ‘poolside’.

It was so hot inside that we set up the small oven out on the deck to bake the eggplant in and farmers sausage was barbecued for our supper.

Nathin and Becca had been over helping mom with yard work so they stayed over for supper as well 😊

Spencer’s huge, cheek ach inducing smile πŸ˜‹πŸ˜„

Pro made us all dessert of barbecued peaches with honey, pecans and whipped cream πŸ‘

The evening was spent enjoying the slowly cooling weather out on the deck and then moving to the even colder basement to watch a movie before bed πŸŒ₯ πŸ›Œ

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
