Starving Artists 🎨

Monday Aug 1st –

I spent the morning going through some paperwork and left-over odds and ends that were still in my old rooms drawers.

It turned out to be a good thing as I found airplane tickets and other ‘proof’ of Mike and my’s relationship for some paperwork that needed doing πŸ˜‹

While I sorted through my room, Mike was checking out apartments for us back in Europe.
Still nothing yet so we are trying to learn what the thing called ‘patience’ is and trusting God will show us the right place at the right time 😁

Mom worked on painting some more stumps, I joined her outside to drink coffee and to listen to more of the book on tape we started😁

Rolo aggravates mom, but more so after this little accident 😜

I decided to get started back into the jogging process, if only slightly, beginning with the C25K app.

Becca, Nathin and Spencer came over for a supper of fried fish.

Spencer is a nice nephew πŸ˜πŸ’•πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

That evening as I was sitting quietly, Dad suddenly motioned for me to follow him to the window.
I did and spotted in our yard was a deer 😊
So easily entertained out in the country πŸ˜‹

Tuesday Aug 2nd –

Painting day, another thing to check off the list.

Painting was the start of the day, the middle of the day and the end of the day 😏

I call myself an artist at times and in my mind I enjoy painting and creating, but whenever I try to put my imaginings out onto paper or canvas, I don’t know why I bother πŸ˜πŸ˜‹
I feel like I am cursed with to big an imagination and not enough capability.
Always disliking whatever I create from my head and being only semi satisfied with what I create from photos or other peoples ideas.

I attempted to paint a piece roughly based on the Eltz castle we went to this past winter with Pro and Josh.
It ended up looking more ‘kids story book castle ish’ then I wanted it to but as smart as the brain is it can’t seem to connect the thoughts and ideas to the fingers putting it onto paper 😁

Mom told me I needed to try staging it and take a good picture to see if that would help me like it more… it helped minutely πŸ˜‰
(Thanks for trying mom 😜)

While I spent the entirety of the day on this, mom painted one thing she didn’t like and two things which she did.
I did not get my speed from here either 😏

All the while we listened to the book on tape and sipped our coffees πŸ‘πŸŽ¨πŸ“»

Supper was spaghetti and cheese toast 😊
Artists have no time for elaborate meals!

Elaborate or not though, it was very tasty and reminded me I need to get moms spaghetti sauce recipe sometime 😁

P.S.

This piece is up for grabs!

It is an original 8×10 watercolor and marker on Aquarelle Arches 140lb paper

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
