Friday Oct 7th –
The sound of rain is what we woke to, finally one day went according to the weather forecast.
The rest of our week had been forecasted as a possible rain/mid to low 20’s but up till than it had been beyond our expectations, +27 being more normal then any storm clouds ππ€
Breakfast was a MilkaΒ Daim and coffee in bed βοΈπ
The day was a big mix of sleep, sit, sit, sleep, pack a little…
Extremely lazy? Yes.
But we had no rental car, no ambition, rainy weather and yeah, that’s our excuse π¬
Mike would have got a taxi and done something but I didn’t see the point in paying for a short little drive that cost the same as a meal π¬
(Yes, most costs will be compared to meal prices in our relationship π)
So instead we went for a meal at the hotel and it was very good πππ»
Fresh, warm bread with butter started us off.
Tomato, basil and feta baked chicken with baked potatoes was my chosen dish and it was deliciousπ

Mike got the same dish he had last time, the Greek version of burgers and it was also good π
Theeeen… back to the room.
But walking back on the glistening wet tiles, we noticed hundreds of large, flying ants π³π
Not sure if they were finding refuge from the rain or what exactly was going on but there was a crazy amount.
Tried to get a picture but the shiny tile and reflections made them too hard to spot.
The wifi in the room wasn’t working and Mike wanted to watch soccer so he relocated to the lobby while I napped again.
Later in the day the winds and rain picked up a crazy amount, having us rushing to close the balcony doors and then listening to the gusts of wind blowing through the hotel corridors, while flashes of lighting lit the sky with purple hues.
It was short lived thankfully, as I’m not a fan of storms.
We went back out to the restaurant that evening for one last baked feta.
Looks beautiful even with the rain. Buns looked like they would have been delicious ππ
