Color Picking With The Color Blind

Monday October 11th –

Unpacking, laundry and writing filled my Monday.

I don’t remember what I ate or anything in between so this will be a very short daily post😜

Lisanne and Amy were over so I sat and drew with them for a few minutes, communicating as much as fake sign language let us 😏

Supper was a classic Dutch meal (prepared by Inge) that I had yet to eat while being in Holland, ‘boerenkool met worst’.

Tuesday Oct 12th –

Tuesday was a tad more eventful in writing terms then the previous day 😏

Mike and I were hardly awake when a timid knock sounded at the door and Amy joined us, saying it was time for us to wake up πŸ˜‹
Inge had an appointment to leave for, so we got to take care of the girls for a while.

First things first we headed to the grocery store so we could get some cookie ingredients πŸͺ

Cookies were mixed up, spooned out and cleaned up with ‘help’ from the girls πŸ˜‰πŸ‘

Uncle Mike carefully watched over the whole process, seeming just as intrigued as the girls were but I think he was just waiting for some dough/baked results 😏

While the cookies baked Amy and Lisanne wanted to have something else to do so us four gathered around the table, papers and pencils in hand.

A pastime of which has no name, began.
Everyone takes a turn drawing a random line, then you all have to figure out what it could create and finish the drawing together.

Cookies joined us and so did Inge.
Meaning Mike and I left for town and began the search for house items 😁

Main item we lack, a couch.
And it seems like those are very abundant but very hard to find exactly what you want πŸ›‹πŸ™„

We didn’t find a couch but a light bulb, a small clock and some other small insignificant items did make their way back to the car with us 😁

Unfortunately I had no legitimate reason for needing anything from this collection, which I ADORE!! πŸ’•

Also looked at were paint colors 😳🎨
Because that’s not a hard decision at all 😬

But luckily, I had my color blind husband to help pick! πŸ™„
No really, he is a bit color blind, I wasn’t just saying he’s a silly male with no taste 😜

The day finally came to an end and I requested an ice cream as ‘no couch consolation’ 🍦

Mike went to soccer, I went to bed with popcorn and a movie πŸΏπŸ’»

Not the best tradition to have for when your hubby goes to be healthy, you stay home and eat? πŸ€”
I’ll have to come up with a new, but still tasty alternative 😜

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
