An Aroma Of Pure Perfection ☕️

Tuesday Nov 1st –

I woke up with the sore throat gifted to me from Mikes own slightly ill self 🙄

The sun was shining through our window and it looked like a lovely day was ahead, but not so long after the clouds and fog came in 😕🌥

Mike was working from home, meaning I become even less productive and the house stays constantly a tad messy 😏

(Our work station😜)

We finished up the farmers sausage soup and it’ll be some time now until we have it again, farmers sausage from Saskatchewan isn’t so easily mailed😁

There was a plan in place to go for a walk together, but just the idea of that put me in bed for a nap 😜

I woke to smells of something cooking and found Mike had heated up a pizza for us 😊🍕

Paper work was looked at once more since we had a chance to do it together, finishing up the last little details before the package would be fully ready to send off 😁📮

A cheese and cracker tray made up our dinner before Mike headed off to play soccer.

The wine jelly proved worth the effort it took to make 😉👌🏻

I then had the evening to myself to doodle and start watching ‘The Paradise’… if anyone has suggestions of a good, clean movie series, I’m all open to hearing them! 😊✍🏻

I also had to force down some honey lemon tea for the throat 😷

Don’t know how people drink that stuff for the enjoyment 🤔

Mike returned from playing soccer and before much could be said he asked if he could watch a soccer game that was on if he gave me a foot rub, who was I to deny him a soccer game?😏That’s usually the deal at our place… if I have to endure listening to lame soccer game, then I also get a foot rub (it’s a strategy I highly suggest to all you other soccer wives) 👌🏻⚽️😋

Wednesday Nov 2nd –

The big day finally came, the day the paperwork got officially finished up, sealed, addressed and sent off 🇨🇦📮
So let the unknown length of a waiting game begin!

We went into Doesburg to send off the package and then pop into the pet store, I keep telling myself I don’t need goldfish, so we instead chose a new toy for Fiji, hoping to liven him up a little 😏

Lunch was grabbed at a snack bar and an ice cream for me, since we aren’t totally sure when the snack bars will stop serving them due to the colder weather…

one must take precautions 😜

Doesburg has a little shop with coffee beans, coffee accessories, chocolates etc. and Mike explained our coffee predicament to the nice man who owned it 😬

He didn’t have any beans roasted dark enough out on the floor, but he brought down a barrel from storage, and it was perfect ❤️
The dark beans, shining with oily beauty looked up at us and an aroma wafted to us of pure perfection💕☕️

Next to find was some pomelos!
Two stores later and we had them in hand 😊

Still no luck at finding spaghetti squash anywhere though 😔

Back at the apartment Mike got to work pealing the pomelo and I began supper, a simple pre seasoned chicken with rice and the usual citrus cucumber salad, but I added in strawberries for a little change and it was a nice one 😊🍓

Fiji liked his new toy 🐭

Our evening was then spent on the couch, munching pomelo, chatting and watching a bit of a sermon online.

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
