Clean House, Clean Canvas

Thursday Nov 3rd –

There was bits and pieces of cake top left so the extra icing was dished out and that was our breakfast, along with some delicious coffee 👌🏻💕☕️🍰

Looks like we’ll be going back to the coffee store in Doesburg 😎

After the coffee and cake were finished Mike worked and I cleaned house, because it needed it but also because we wanted to make a video of it for all those who can’t pop over to see it.

Check out the video here ⬇️

Jem Moment : Home Tour 💕🏢📽

As annoying and harmful as technology can be, I’m so thankful it’s available to me at times when I want to show my family bits of my life away from home 💕

Once all that was taken care of I began making a dessert.

Just some out of the box brownie but I added some toasted pecans and planned on serving it with caramel sauce to add a little something extra to it.

I began supper preparations shortly after and sent Mike out to the store to get some things for me.
I required fresh basil for the bruschetta chicken I was trying to make and Mike couldn’t find any packaged soo, it looks like he’ll have a another plant to take care of 😂

John came over to have supper with us, since Inge was off helping with/lovin up the new grandbaby.

The chicken was accompanied with fried potatoes, dill carrots and bread.

I was sick of having mayo with potatoes so I whipped up a sour cream sauce to go with them and it was actually kind of nice 😊
Just sour cream, salt and pepper and some ‘Everything Bagel’ Epicure seasoning from mom😉👌🏻

I thought the chicken was kind of boring but the guys liked it.
I really wish I could taste a ‘new recipe’ made by someone else first and see if I’d like it then? 😋

We visited awhile and enjoyed our coffees and brownie and then John went home and Mike went out to meet a friend to play some tennis.

I stayed at the house to clean up once again and then spent my evening drawing ✍🏻️

Friday Nov 4th –

Mike left for a business trip to Norway at 4:30 in the morning 😬

I luckily got to go back to bed 😏

Thankfully my being ‘sick’ hadn’t been too sick besides a pounding headache through the night and mornings, nothing coffee and meds wouldn’t cure 😋👌🏻

I told myself I should start trying to letter a little more as well as read the Bible so I’ve been trying to combine the two 😊

With Mike being gone, the house cleaned and my head throbbing there wasn’t a ton to do but I felt inspired from the previous nights doodles.
So I began my first canvas painting in a while, how daunting the white, clean canvas always is at first.

It took some time but I was happily, and surprisingly, pleased with it 😁🎨
Maybe It will inspire me to begin the gallery wall above the couch now 😏

Blogging and photo editing began after that, mixed with the odd snack and a lot of couch sitting 🙈

As usual, popcorn was the supper of chose with Mike not needing to be fed 😏

Does the bad of the popcorn and butter get canceled out by the huge amounts of water I drink after because of too much salt and vinegar seasoning? 😬🍿

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊

  1. Like the art you are pumping out! Maybe we can have time when you are here to do some together. My hope is for a clean house and order by then 🙄
