Saturday Nov 5th –
Morning came with a worsened head cold.
Any movements I made, resulted in a pounding head and a need for multiple tissues.
I quickly got the coffee brewed and brought my books to the couch so I could have my tissues and blankets all nearby.
My morning/day passed by with drawing, laying, drinking coffee and a little bit of housework.
Including baking some banana chocolate chip muffins as a welcome back snack for Mike, and fruit intake for me to help overcome my illness π
A lovely little nap occurred and afterwords a chat with Pro and Josh ππ
Not often do I get to talk with them both and it had been an especially long while since they had been busy in Canada so it was a good catch up.
While I did that, Mike was in Norway waiting for his plane to land, be de-iced and bring him back π¬βοΈπ¨
Once he did land in Amsterdam and begin his drive back, he stopped to pick us up some KFC for a late dinner.
We enjoyed the chicken strips with Chic-fil-A sauce we’d been saving from our airport visits to that restaurant π
Though I was tired and Mike should have been tired from travel… sleep did not come until around 2:00 am. ππ³
Sunday Nov 6th –
Morning came with coffee and warmed up muffins πβοΈ
Prepared by me after I was finished getting ready for church…
Somewhere along the line ‘Mike making breakfast on Sundays’ became a non thing?π€
We drove the hour to church and enjoyed the service and some chatting afterwords before we went over to Judith’s for a short visit to say hi and enjoy some hot chocolate and baby holding βΊοΈ
After which was the drive back and a then a lengthy nap to make up for the previous nights lost sleep π
Mike heated up the remaining KFC and cooked some fries for us and that was pretty much our day… it was not our most thrilling weekend ππ
