Thursday Dec 29th –
Mother was busy making bunny and bear pancakes when Mike and I woke up but Mike got circle ones, which he deemed soccer balls π
Pro bestowed gifts upon us and I couldn’t be more pleased with all my new Polaroid accessories and my coffee cup ππ
Josh and Mike left to go get some things in town, take Dad something in the bush, get out of the house, get a Tim’s etc. π
For the ones left at the house… it was an interesting day π
Children really shouldn’t learn how to walk when they are so… damageable.
Bryn fell down the flight of stairs to the basement and got a rug burn on her face.
Alaina was sitting, doing nothing, and she fell off the chair.
Bryn slipped on a block and hit her head on the side table.
Spencer just fell face first off his chair and cut his top lip.
And those are only the very memorable mishaps.
Alaina deemed it, ‘an ouchy day’ πππ»
Most of the day was spent child rearing and catching up on this and that since we (Mom, Pro and I) were all together to talk and it wasn’t one of having to relay what the other had told them during a phone call days or even weeks before ππ»π
Supper was steak and potatoes, a real mans meal ππ
Along side was focaccia bread with oil and vinegar and it was delicious π
After dinner was done and desserts were brought the children quickly returned to the table π
Swarming around whomever had the whipped cream can like a bunch of hungry little birds, mouths wide open.
Once the kids were put away (π) Mom, Pro and I tested out the new sketchbooks that Mom had gotten us and the evening quickly passed in conversational bits here and there π
Friday Dec 30th –
Cheesy, jalapeΓ±o egg breakfast sandwiches were prepared by Mom, she’s a fantastic bed and breakfast hostess ππππ»ππ΄
I worked on writing, which is a lot harder with three kids and four adults creating distractions but I suppose I do it to myself π
Mike and Josh are both terrible at sitting still and relaxing so it wasn’t long after waking up and eating that they found a reason to go back into town.
Coffee is being brewed pretty much back to back as it’s rapidly guzzled up by whomever comes first, but us girls are even more pleased to be drinking it from our lovely new cups πππ»π
A trip outdoors was taken and everyone got turns pulling sleighs or holding a kiddo, as we walked down the road a ways to leave some food for Mr Mink.
After being in the fresh air, of course some hot chocolate was called for πβοΈπ
Supper was good but it did not look good, so no picture of that for once.
Imagine a plate full of fries, gravy, pulled pork and cheese curds ππ
