Not Overly Highlightable, Highlighted Moments

Monday April 24th-

Mom was still away and Mike was at work but the way our upcoming week was looking, I decided to get the house partially cleaned in early preparation for some guests 😉

(I may not be the kid at home anymore but there’s still that small fear that something that should have been done while Mom was gone, didn’t get done 😜)

So I cleaned and straightened up annnd I’m getting into more detail than necessary if I’m really trying to stick to writing the more highlightable things in our lives now 🙈😋

Mother returned, we chatted, I blogged, I helped her narrow down a selection of art pieces for the kids play room, she made us a snack, the end. 😏

Or not, because I did also make us some great (though nasty looking) juice.

(Feel like a mad scientist by making it in the glass beaker like measuring things 🤓👩🏻‍🔬😋)

I also found a ridiculously adorable little key that was oh so perfect for me, in amongst the keys I’d gotten in Rosthern.

Mike was spending the night in Carrot River with my bro, for a work function (getting all serious about his logger position 😉) so I had a peaceful night of no one stealing the covers 😜

Tuesday April 25th –

My morning included more cleaning (mostly of our room, since I may like very clean main areas of the house but I’m awful at keeping my own bedroom clean 😬) writing and attempting to make an iced coffee using my espresso opposed to the regular attempts of using up the leftover coffee.

It was for sure an improvement but some tweaks will still be required.

*Sighs heavily and rolls eyes at the  thought of having to consume more coffee*

But if you like iced coffee, I strongly (hah, lil pun😏) suggest getting a little espresso pot so you get that quick, strong brew 💪🏻☕️

(I’ve seen them in Sask. at Winners for decent prices 😊)

Becca picked me up and I tested the iced coffee on her, as a guinea pig moment/thank you to her for driving me to town, so I could go for my first cleaning job 😊

I met the woman who had reached out to me for some help with her job and we drove to a newly constructed house that needed cleaning before the owners moved in.
She was super friendly and helpful in telling me different tips and tricks for cleaning and I look forward to working with her again if our schedules align 😊

Mike picked me up and we headed to the city to look at a car that was for sale, something a tad better on gas than the vehicle Mike purchased… a couple of weeks ago 😏😜
The car turned out to be fairly far off from the online description of, ‘ one minor crack in the window, perfect condition otherwise’.
Having dents and scratches that were visible to us driving up a few yards off and the dirty interior wreaking of smoke 🙄
Thanks for wasting our evening you false advertising ya turd! 😏

Sooo homeward we went, filling Mom in on our days events before retiring for the night.

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
