Some Of The Loveliest Sights To Behold? Sunshine And Gold

Sunday April 30th –

Going upstairs to get the coffee Sunday morning, I was met by sunshine and blue sky’s pouring through the window and it was a lovely sight to behold 🌀

After a morning sermon, Michiel, Mom, Dad and I headed out for a walk through a hiking/skiing area not too far from the house.

Whoever says Sask. doesn’t have hills is wrong ya know.
No it may not have vast, mountain ranges cutting through the sky but it isn’t just flat for days either 😏
It perhaps wasn’t the prettiest time to go explore there but the weather was great so squint and pretend you see green leaves on the trees if that makes it more appealing for youπŸ˜‹

Signs of spring? Pussy willows and wild crocuses 😊

We finally ended the walk and hunger struck, fresh air having done its thing πŸ˜‹
Mom whipped together some soup (using the veggie pulp broth 😎) and then it was an all around, round of couch naps πŸ˜ŠπŸ’•πŸ˜΄

Father departed late that afternoon, having to drive back to his work site.
It feels odd to be home and yet to not see him, so having him back (to his houseπŸ˜‹) for the weekend had been nice 😊

Monday May 1st –

First stop in town?
The re-store… a place where unused building material, second hand furniture and all the odds and ends between can be found, usually for a fraction of the original price.

I was in luck this visit and Mom was with me which made it even luckier, because she haggled about the price of this large dresser😁

Online I’d been seeing them second hand for no less than 150$ if they were that size and ‘Mom’ managed to get the price down to 80$ 😎
So I now have another (large😳) piece to paint.

I have no idea what I’m going to do to it… it’s always a struggle for me if I should keep the item clean and white or go fun and bright… I’d ask for suggestions but I feel like I know who will say white and who will say bright… so do I ask and disregard what you all say anyways?
πŸ˜‚πŸŽ¨πŸ›

Moving on, Mother and I had errands and returns (how I actually love returns, the knowing money is going BACK into your account and you can wait to find something you love and then justify buying it because you actually returned something πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ) and the usual town riff raff.

Until, I found something to buy with my return money πŸ˜„πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ˜‹

These ever so perfect glasses, gold rimmed and textured along with a matching pitcher.
I didn’t know I could feel so many feelings for cups but hey, now I know πŸ’—

I told Mike not to concern himself too much over the purchase of a house because I’d bought us a dresser and drinking set to live in 😬😜

Once the unpacking of groceries and buys had come to an end, I took a rest.
Humans and town being a tiring excursion for one so sheltered as I πŸ˜‹

Mom and I whipped up some tortilla pizzas for supper and they were as tasty as ever πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
