Friday May 12th –
Posting, writing, sipping coffee, gathering ambition for the day.
‘Twas an average, everyday kind of morning.
Michiel was secret projecting, now known as ‘working on the house’, so I joined in on that later in the morning and continued off and on throughout the day, between meals and life-ing.
(Rather than the odd picture of house changes here and there, I think it will be best to do some strictly, house reno posts, so watch for those.)
Father was back for the weekend, so everyone was over for a delicious supper Mom had prepared.
I don’t have a picture of this meal… why you ask? Because I was hungry and I ate it too fast…
Moose roast, homemade bread and roasted veggies and it was all extremely tasty and I love not being the one who cooked supper so it can be thoroughly enjoyed instead π¬ππ
Becca brought over ooy gooey puffed wheat cake and I was reminded of my attempt … and failure, of making it back in Holland π
Mike tried a piece and readily agreed that Becca’s, was much better π
Which I agreed with as well, especially since I was missing like, two to three of the true ingredients when I’d attempted to make it π
Saturday May 13th –
A Saturday of errands awaited us.
Mike and I anyways.
I think Mom and Dad were busy making coffee tables out of some large, specially chosen pieces of wood the guys had cut π
So into PA we went, to shop and browse and find things for crafts and house π
Running to and fro, the search for the best priced items required multiple stops but eventually we finished and were as happy with our bank account emptying, as one can be π
Incase you too are building/renovating, we have been finding Home Hardware has some of the best prices … when it comes to shower stalls and toilets anyways ππΏπ½
I found two, small gold lights at the Habitat store (re-store/used or unwanted home items and supplies) which, with Mikes help I will eventually turn into some hanging, pendant like lights hopefully.
Cacti were found at Canadian tire, as I needed one for Mom and one to see how my cement pots looked with something living in them π
(I’ll post a picture soonπ)
Back at home, the beginnings of a late/early birthday supper began.
Dad had gotten Mike his promised steak.
T-bones over an inch thick, which had the boys drooling just looking at them and crab for me, as an early birthday meal/perfect steak accompanier ππππ»π΄π¦π
Once bellies were stuffed sufficiently, it was a movie night.
Something not done for sometime and also, I suddenly realize that yes, a two-hour movie IS a long time to stay awake and it has to be started early enough to get to bed on time.
Logic I once scoffed at π
*long sigh with a slight shake of the head*
The changes of aging ππ
