‘Bearly’ There Plans

Tuesday May 30th –

The beginning of a hot streak was about to… begin 😜

So we happily prepared ourselves, went to town for some errands (getting paint for my redone vanity project/plants for my concrete creations) and than drove out to a friends house for the day.

We arrived in time for a delicious lunch of chicken taco soup with all the toppings, amazing cornbread that they introduced me to years ago and I still dream of, salad, drinks and more!

It’s sufficed to say, we were stuffed.
But the warmed up, ooey gooey brownie and ice cream with chocolate sauce really pushed me over the edge, from feeling fine to feeling 309 (lb) real fast 😜

We (I) waddled out to the deck, the lounge chairs and sunshine beckoning and the conversation with good friends making the afternoon fly by πŸ’•πŸΉβ˜€οΈπŸ‘

Once as much as could be discussed in one afternoon was gotten out, we departed.

Happier, fuller and hopefully a tad browner, then when we came πŸ˜‹

But never too full to not enjoy our supper of cabbage rolls and perogiesπŸ˜πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Such odd things to find so delicious perhaps but the fewer who like them, means all the more for me 😬
(Mike was still working away so none were wasted on his unimpressed pallet πŸ˜‹)

Wednesday May 31st –

Leftover rice meant I got to make the Sommerset Rice Bowl for the sister and I, as Mother had went to town early to accomplish some things pre hot afternoon/less childrenπŸ˜‹

Our plans were a tad disheveled, wanting to take the kids over to play together, then realizing we had no vehicle, then hearing that a bear was just in the yard of the sister-in-law so we didn’t know if the kids should be out. 😬🐻

The Mom returned so we then had a vehicle and deemed it safe to take the kids to play, even if they just stayed inside.
We wanted them busy for a while so the sis and I could go get some cleaning done at my place, ridding the main space of as much dirt and dust as possible so I could maybe get a coat of primer on the vanity.
We got there and out of the entire fistful of keys… not even one was for the main lock, but all were deadbolt keys πŸ™„πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
So back to the sister-in-laws to ask for their set of keys and her hubby had them with him, soooo back home we went, to not clean anything 😬

I worked on cement thingies and then made juice for all to sip on while sitting in the sun.
(The sister-in-law had brought the kids back and stayed to let all the kids play in the little pool)

The limes were super ripe and though I’d used the same amount last time, these were a lot stronger and left a tart after taste lingering in your mouth, so we mixed up some sugar water to add in and that, plus the ice made it perfectly acceptable πŸ˜‰πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸΉ

The farmer working nearby came and warned us that he’d just seen a bear in the field directly behind our house, Mom was prepared though 😜

We sun soaked, talked and child watched until that evening.
Then freshening up and heading BACK to the sister-in-laws for hot dogs, salad and ice cream😊🌭πŸ₯—πŸ¦

Mike came back for the evening, needing laundry and lunches and the girls attached themselves to him pretty quickly, knowing he’d entertain and feed them a lot more willingly than the rest of us πŸ˜‹

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
