Slight house update –
June 2017
So not a whole ton has changed, look wise in the house due to it being mainly electrical and plumbing which have been the main focus.
(Thanks big bro and Mike π)
But just because it hasn’t changed a whole lot in appearance, doesn’t mean my mind hasn’t been creating up many a design plan for each space π€ππ¨
Picking up paint chips, purchasing tile for the bathroom, choosing a vanity color, getting the flooring for when that time comes etc.
I have the ideas all stored up in my brain but I wanted to try to put pen to paper and let them have a little life breathed into them π
We have many small (and some big) pieces already, so it’s not hard to think of rooms being filled without having the literal pieces, as we have many πππ»πβοΈπ
The living room is one main area that has changed most in appearance and is the most easily pictured in its finished state, in my mind.
The bathroom wall was pushed back a few feet and due to that, the living room grew considerably after gaining space and a small window, adding more light which now freely flows through the enlarged doorway between the kitchen and living room.
Mike levelled out the living room floor, the shower is installed and the bathroom lights and fan.
He’s put in most of the sub floor in the living room and I ripped out all the old ceiling drywallπ
Now, to the fun stuff π
This is the flooring we picked out for the whole main level.
Entryway, kitchen and living room and bathroom.
A light mixture of greys and browns.
The bathroom needs the walls drywalled but the vanity is going to be this color.
I’m hoping hubby can build a cement countertop for it, for how it looks and cost.
As a 60 inch vanity is pricey and generally comes with two sinks, which isn’t what I wanted for a main bathroom.
Above the cement countertop, we hope this tile will make a nicely incorporated backsplash π
This is the possible color scheme for the bathroom but it may change slightly.
As the backsplash has brushed nickel, that’s the metal we went for in the bathroom but everywhere else, you can expect to see golds and antiques brass (old gold π).
As far as wall colors, white is the winner thus far π
I’m hoping to keep it fresh, bright and clean with fun, colorful accent pieces π
Think, clean, eclectic/boho if that helps you at all π
Here are some of my most loved inspiration photos π
And for now, that’s really all I have to share with you’s π¬
Once funds/time are flowing freely yet again, I’m sure you’ll be hearing more interesting updates ππ
