Boxed Food And Boxed Excitement

Saturday July 15th –

It was a beautiful Saturday morning πŸŒ€β˜•οΈπŸ’•

And it began with coffee and stroopwafels out on the deck and then we headed over to our place in town.

Mike had to sand down all the walls that had been mudded, so that another coat could be put on and I took the rest of the cedar planking from the bedroom ceilings and the nails they left behind.
Michiel continued to sand and I worked on cleaning out some garbage and hauling away our rotten back porch.

Lunch was needed, so I went and whipped some up and then took it back to the house for Mike and I to eat there and continue working.

Which we did until 4:00 pm 🏚 🏠 🏑
Walls being scraped down so they could be patched, more sanding and removing of mudding dust, more garbage hauling and some raspberry patch watering.

After we had cleaned up, Mike had the idea that we should go into town for pizza, wifi and some supplies that were needed😬

A town date, because we didn’t feel like cooking pretty much 😜

So, into town we went, Mike dropping me at Starbucks so I could blog and whatnot while wifi was an option and he went to get whatever expensive home improvement items we needed now 😏😜
He then joined me and we sipped and surfed and then went to Dominoes for our dinner.
Pizza and parmesan bites πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Which we ate at home, in the cool basement, munching heavily and enjoying every deserved bite πŸ˜‹

Sunday July 16th –

After church, we happily headed home, for leftover pizza πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘ŒπŸ»

But before we made it home, we were sidetracked by the ‘sale’ sign that was out by our local antique store πŸ˜‰

We popped in and I hopefully looked to where I’d seen a world globe a couple of weeks ago and lucky for us, it was still there! πŸ˜„

$15 later we had a globe that was in great condition and beautifully colored πŸ˜πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸŒ

I have to admit, I know I’m getting way ahead of myself but I can’t help being excited to unpack all the boxes of wedding gifts we haven’t seen in over a year and a half.
And that’s not including the items we managed to bring with from Holland too! πŸ˜ƒπŸ™ˆ

Someone was coming to look at the car we had recently bought to resell, so we went to the house to show it and while waiting I mowed the lawn and Mike painted the newly installed window frame 😊

The buyer backed out… but we got to eat the first raspberries from our berry patch so disappointment levels were not that low πŸ˜‹

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
