Mojito Sounds Cooler

This is the recipe for the virgin mojito…or ‘minty lime ginger ale’ but mojito sounds cooler 😎

So, I personally do not drink alcohol so after I tried a virgin mojito in Switzerland and again (much later) in South Africa, I knew it was going to be a drink I would need to try replicating for the hot summer days πŸŒΏβ˜€οΈπŸΉπŸ“

Virgin Mojito – Serves two

Ingredients:

2 medium sized glasses
20 large, fresh mint leaves
1 lime
1 can of chilled ginger ale
Ice

Directions:

Cut the lime in half, using one half for each glass, reserving one small slice for decorative purposes πŸ˜‰

Take 8-10 mint leaves, cutting them into chunks before adding into the lime juice.
Using a spoon, crush the leaves to help release their flavour.

Fill the glass half way with ice, pour ginger ale over, mix.
Garnish with the leftover lime wedge and enjoy!

I know this is a really simple ‘recipe’ … but isn’t that kind of the beauty of it? πŸ˜‰

It’s an easy, refreshing, summer drink, easily adaptable to ones own preferences.
More lime, less mint etc. etc.

I’d love to hear if you try it out, or share a picture and tag Jemstory!! β˜ΊοΈπŸŒΏπŸΉπŸ’Ž
