Noise And Distraction Filled Blank Spots

Monday July 31st –

With the wee-ish two around, the day’s go by, perhaps not with speed but with more noise and distraction filling the blank spots for sureπŸ˜‰

Mom made a tasty potato soup, specially for Alaina as that is one of her favourites, luckily for us we also got to enjoy it πŸ˜πŸ˜‹

The big sis and I headed over to our place in town, cleaning up the floors Mike had yet to put plywood down on, so he could finish doing that without having to pull nails and scrape off drywall mud.
The dust became so thick while sweeping the basement from all the refuse that had been falling down during the reno’s, that is almost became foggy to even see across the whole basement 😜

Once we ended our time there and cleaned up, we all settled in around the kitchen table to paint (including Alaina, the elder of the two youngersπŸ˜‹).

Creating this and that, not knowing what exactly, or why 😜🎨

Dad came home that evening, surprising all the sapling sized people, readily picking up the two girls and then having to try to pick up Spencer as well, as he was left, sadly standing on the step, arms slightly up, eyes sad πŸ™ˆ

The reason he was back was unfortunate, a pretty serious machinery breakdown, but we were all thrilled to have him home for a day or two πŸ’•πŸ

The main dish of supper was my duty that night, so the lemony, basil pasta with shrimp was once again cooked up.
It wasn’t as drool inducing as last time because I added more pasta, without much thought of creating more sauce but it was still tasty and the shrimp, toast and steak Mike had picked up for the boys, was well enjoyed 😊

(If the opportunity to use paper plates arrises, the sister and I take it, Mom less willingly so at times, but who wants the extra work when family is all together? πŸ˜‰)

With most of the family being over, the house filled, as did the coffee pot 😜

Some enjoyed the coffee out on the cool of the deck and the twinkly lights, I’m happy to report, have been on almost every night πŸ˜‰

Tuesday August 1st –

I had forgotten about the package Mike had picked up for a gift we intend to send to a friend, so I searched that out and opened it.

Meaning my morning started with a fair bit of cuteness 😁

As soon as Mike asked me to pick a gift for a friend back in Europe, I wanted to find a bit of a local piece and I found it on Hb.Poms.

Easy messaging, pick up and payment and an ultra cute little toque to send away πŸ˜„πŸ’•

We don’t know what happened Tuesday afternoon.
I’ve asked Mother, the sister and myself and none of us have much recollection of the day, besides dinner 😜

Which was BBQd chicken, onion soup mix potatoes and fresh green beans, followed by raspberries with cream and sugar β€οΈπŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
