Family And Faux

Friday Sept 1st –

Due to happening of the previous night, which may or may not have included running a red light, getting the flash of the camera and knowing a large fine would be arriving in the mail, I wanted to earn some money πŸ™„πŸ˜

The task assigned to me?
Gardening… 😬

3.5 hours of that later and it was as done as it can be for it only being the beginning of fall but it was more than enough for one morning πŸ˜‰

Shakespeare (my mint) couldn’t handle summers end and came to his demise… he was a good mint, sometimes πŸ˜”

Anyone know how to grow basil and mint, all winter long??! πŸ€”

It was actually ridiculously hot out considering falls deceptive look of it being a chilly day
πŸŒ€πŸ‚πŸƒ

My recovery snack post gardening… another super delicious bran muffin with cheese πŸ˜œπŸ‘ŒπŸ»

I truly do like bran muffins, with cheese, so it was a good thing πŸ˜‰

The father returned home for a visit!
(Sounds messed up I know 😜)
His weekend would be spent with us and that also meant steak was on the menu 😏
Not that I cared about that part as I could truly live very easily without that red meat… unless it’s a fillet mignon wrapped in bacon with a nice rosemary gravy πŸ˜πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ˜œ

Since steak isn’t really my thing, I needed more to fill my belly, thus… a boiled egg.
(I may be getting sick of those too, after this two-week meal plan is over with πŸ™„)

Dad hadn’t seen the progress on our house in a while, so we all drove over there and took a look-eroo.

I love the newest addition… my faux marble countertop πŸ˜±πŸ’•πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

The rest of the evening was passed by painting and writing, as I began a ’30 days of bible lettering’ challenge πŸ˜¬πŸ“

Saturday Sept 2nd –

We were invited over to the Bro’s to have breakfast with them ☺️

It was nice in theory… but trial-some in reality.
For a whole loaf of homemade bread lay sliced and a pan of shredded, seasoned potatoes frying, as we walked through their doors. Both things that I was allowed very little amounts ofπŸ™„

But the breakfast I was allowing myself was super good and the company nice too πŸ˜‰

The rest of the day was mainly spent drawing and sketching, between eating and lounging and drinking numerous pots of coffee πŸ˜‹

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊

  1. Arghh knowing you have a fine and having to pay money while you can think of 100 better things to spent that money on… I hate that feeling but I know it all too well..πŸ˜‰πŸ™ˆ
