Resort Life Vibes

Monday Sept 11th –

We drove into Phoenix to meet up with some family friends for breakfast.

Just prior to this trip, I had said how I wanted biscuits and gravy and as I glanced over the menu, guess what I found πŸ˜‹

That decision was made easily and then sad coffees sipped and pleasant conversation shared.

(It ruins so many experiences to have to drink bad coffee, after you’ve experienced GOOD coffee 😞)

Anyways, the food was good, my biscuits and gravy enjoyed and then we went our separate ways.

Since we were further into Phoenix then normal, we tossed around some ideas until the Tempe mall was decided on and used up many hours (and dollars) of our time πŸ˜œπŸ›πŸ’³πŸ˜Ž

Mike and I got a delicious cucumber mojito from ‘Paradise Splash’ 😁

It was super fresh and tasty and the others I’d sampled were all really good as well, the ‘carrots and cream’ especially being a sweet surprise 😏πŸ₯•

The end of our purchasing came and one mission pre going back to the house, was leftπŸ˜‰

Read about it under ‘Jem Moments’ πŸ’ŽπŸ˜‰

Tuesday Sept 12th –

It was the first morning we got to sleep in without setting an alarm for the next day, since we arrived almost one week earlierπŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ˜ŒπŸ˜‹

Mike and I had the opportunity to make use of an offer to use our newly acquired sisters, parents pool, so we took it πŸ˜Žβ˜€οΈπŸ’¦πŸΉ

It was like going to a private resort πŸ’πŸ»

Lemon and lime waters were sent out with us, pool floaties available and a snack of watermelon brought out later on, before a chauffeur ride back to our houseπŸ‘ŒπŸ»β›±

(The tasty basil and garlic olives were purchased at World Market πŸ˜‰ )

It was all much appreciated and we did feel slightly guilty…but also very thankful to be spending a 42 degree day, poolside πŸ˜¬πŸ’•

We then readied ourselves to go over to a friend’s house for dinner πŸ‘«πŸ‘

We arrived and a spread of ribs, salad, pasta, baked peppers, bread and ginger lemon tea filled us to the max πŸ₯—πŸžπŸΉπŸ΄πŸŒΆπŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Or so we thought, until the coffee and ice cream came out 😏

We spent the rest of the evening visiting and it was an entertaining time, yet also so odd to actually be at a childhood friends house with  her now married and living in Arizona and me and my European husband and family visiting her, because my brother-in-law, married her sister-in-law.

We never cease to see that it is indeed, a small world 😏

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
