A Happy Return And Uncomfortable Encounters

Wednesday Sept 27th –

Mike went to work on the house, as per usual.

I stayed home.

Also rather ‘usual’ πŸ™ˆ

I worked on getting some cement orders ready, a blog up, lettering done and some last minute straightening up of the premises, because the parents were finally coming back!

It was three weeks since we had last seen them, so there was actually some cause for excitement πŸ˜‰πŸ˜œ

I made Mike and I tomato, bacon sandwiches on jalapeΓ±o bagels for lunch and after eating them we were going to head back to the house.

The parents arrived moments before we were about to go and wanted to have coffee with us and I didn’t really wanna go hang out at the house anyways, so we postponed our departure πŸ˜‰

Once we had caught up enough to make it through until supper time at the bro’s, Mike and I did momentarily go to the house.

Where I worked on washing window sills 😬

They are older style windows, with four different sliding sections and each needed lots of scrubbing away of drywall dust, fly excrement and more…

It was a slow, but fairly rewarding process 😜

Supper was Chinese food and it was enjoyed as much as Chinese food can be.

To the max and then get hungry an hour or so later or suffer extreme thirst for the rest of the night πŸ˜œπŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ²

Thursday Sept 28th –

I had given my word to go on a walkathon of sorts for my nieces school, with the sister and her two other small people 😏

The weather was beautiful and the company comforting/conversationally pleasing πŸ˜‰πŸ˜œ

Minus my first few moments of large discomfort and wondering why on earth I had agreed to come along, as rows of little people and their odd ways pooled out of the school and around me, it turned out to be a fine time πŸ˜‰

Their was a couple awkward conversations with a child here and there but nothing I couldn’t handle 😎

I mean, almost, but I held together as best I could and reminded myself that I. am. an. adult.😜

By the time that all ended and I got dropped off back at home, I had to make a side dish to go with the fish that father would be frying that evening for us all.

The carrot dish pictured is NOT the side I made, but the one the sister brought.

Hers looked and tasted better πŸ˜‰

It was an evening of much noise once again.

It seems like we really have no balance, it’s either home alone and silence or everyone back and in the same place at the same time 😜

But, both are fine in their right place πŸ˜‰πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
