A Happy Stomachs Heart

Sunday Oct 1st –

Breakfast by Bob and then off to church.

It was communion service that evening at church, so we had been invited for lunch and to spend the afternoon with friends at the home of a lovely human, whose cooking  I haven’t gotten to enjoy for a looong time πŸ˜‰πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Borscht soup and a ham, apple, cheese and pear butter sandwich filled my plate and my heart was very happy 😁🍴

Or would that be my stomach? My stomachs heart? 😜

Anyways, it was delicious and followed by the second choice of soup, lemon chicken rice and a caprese style sandwich πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

A leisurely afternoon of visiting followed until it was time to head back to church.

It’s always an uplifting evening and many share testimonies of what God has been doing in their lives πŸ’•

Psalms 26:7

That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all Your wondrous deeds.

Monday Oct 2nd –

It was a dreary fall morning and it called for a mocha almost immediately β˜•οΈπŸ‚

I had the last of my bible verses to finish lettering and painting and that took up a fair bit of the morning but I am finally done the challenge and will put a post up with all of the pieces soon ☺️

Buffalo Chicken Spaghetti Squash  β€’ https://jemstory.com/2017/10/04/buffalo-chicken-spaghetti-squash/ β€’ was prepared for supper and I also made some juice for the first time in a while.

Using grape juice Mom had made from her grape harvest and mixing it with apple and pineapple juice πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‡

I glanced through a magazine and gathered some inspiration for an upcoming blog post and then, as with most evenings, my mind wandered to what I could do to help ready our house and what all still needs doing/getting 😬

Do you have any ‘moving into the first home’ tips?

Was there a specific item you wished you had thought of getting BEFORE moving in or something that should have been done/ready to make things easier? πŸ€“

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
