Non Glamorous Goings-On

Thursday Nov 2nd –

Coffee was delivered to me in bed… a nice side effect of the husband having a home office dayβ˜•οΈπŸ˜

He went to our place to work and I prepared us some lunch to be toasted up later, worked out and readied myself for a trip into town later that day.

Lunch was just some ham wraps with peppers, mustard, mayo and some seasonings but once toasted, I really enjoyed it ☺️

I went with him back to OUR house, to blog and since he got the only room with a chair for his work space… I got a trunk and cardboard box in the kitchen to call mine  πŸ˜œ

Supper was the ‘Peanut Chicken and Zucchini Noodles’ recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction again…and again, I advise you to try it for yourselves πŸ˜„πŸ΄

Adding in whatever veggies make you happy and I suggest some peanuts for some added texture πŸ˜‰

Friday Nov 3rd –

Want to truly know the unglamorous detail that took up tons of my morning?? πŸ™„

Deleting over 1000 pictures off of my phone and having over 6000 to still go through 😬

I know that’s extortionate… but let me explain!πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚

I have all of our trip pictures AND house inspiration AND renovation pictures too… a person can’t just… get rid of those 😳

Lunch was tomato soup with leftover veggies and ham added in and for the little amount of work it added it was actually super tasty in my opinion☺️

Hubster said he liked it too but I think he is just learning to say that when I make soup, rather than annoy me by saying something like, ‘it’s fine for being soup’. 😜

Over at our house, the bro got our kitchen sink plumbed and our living room chandelier wired and hung πŸ˜„πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ’‘πŸš°

I tried making a homemade pesto, pasta sauce for dinner but since fresh basil is hard to come by right now, I used a tube of it and thus, probably not as much as I should have used.

So a creamy, garlic avocado sauce with toasted tomatoes and walnuts topped the chicken and pasta and it was fine, but I would like to try again with real basil 😏

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
