Monday Nov 6th –
Monday was boring from a written down point of view π
Nothing out of the ordinary, the usual this and that, all very uninteresting π
Supper was a little interesting through in the fact that Mike had bought some souvlaki pork things to tryΒ and we impatiently waited for them to grill.
They turned out to be pretty good, a nice change from other forms of pork and reminiscent of our times in Greece π
Tuesday Nov 7th –
The morning was spent with high levels of procrastination.Resulting in many small things actually getting done (which isn’t a bad thing) and one large thing, not.
The deck needed shovelling π
Finally I did that and then I settled down to paint some cards and add the floral aspect onto the giveaways print βΊοΈπ΅
That was also an area for procrastination, because I reaaaally didn’t want to mess up the written piece π¬
So, really it was a productive day, just slow in the makingπ
Supper was a flop.
‘A $16 piece of meat’ kind of flop π¬
I’d been looking for a corned beef brisket for sometime and finally I found some in Safeway.
The staggering prices for the little pieces of meat seemed hard to swallow but I assured Mike it tasted good and I’d eaten it before.
Turned out I made it LITERALLY hard to swallow too ππ
There is no picture, it looked edible, thus it didn’t seem like an accurate portrayal π
I don’t know if I just overcooked it, cut it on the wrong grain, maybe both of those things, but all in all, I don’t know if I’ve really felt that much sense of loss while eating… dollar wiseπ
The potatoes were undercooked too, so it was not a great ‘wife-ing’ moment…hopefully it just makes the next meal seem fantasticπ
We all have those not so good ‘wife-ing’ moments (I hope), that’s why I always keep an extra pizza in the fridge, juuust in case ππ
