No Easy Feat

Wednesday Nov 8th –

Mike was working from home, so after a lazy morning in bed, I made us breakfast and he headed to our place to work.

I stayed put to work out and then went on to spend most of my day looking through the Wayfair.ca website 😳

They have SO much… in all price ranges and styles, that it was pretty intense to look through and after selecting 26 items, narrowing it down and buying 1… it felt like a sufficiently wasted day πŸ˜πŸ’πŸ»

I hope we love the one item as much in person, as we did from its online presence πŸ˜‰

Yes, I say WE because Mike liked it too!

It’s in times like those that his slight colourblindnessΒ can be of help πŸ˜‰πŸ™ˆDoes he know it has a lot of bright pinks? I don’t know, but if he doesn’t, I won’t be the one to tell him 😜

I deeply wanted this entryway mat too but decided to wait on it… for now 😎

Supper was a slight attempt at redemption for the previous nights failed meal 😬

Eggplant was cooked with a sprinkling of cheese and pine nuts and served with a roasted tomato sauce Mom had made, steaks seasoned, leftover potatoes, garlic toast and freshly made apple/strawberry juice 😊

I think it did the trick πŸ˜‰

I also made some Yogurt Soufflé to try and use up fridge items,Β before we leave on our upcoming vacation 😁πŸ₯„

Thursday Nov 9th –

We had to be in town early so the car could get some winter tires installed.

So after hanging around in a tire shop for almost 2 hours, I was taken to my cleaning job and Mike went to work and do errands.

While cleaning, I looked up the Sherlock Holmes audio stories on YouTube as suggested by one of you and am really enjoying them so far πŸ˜„πŸ•΅πŸ»

I did some Winners returns… and bought two more things…that pre-used money from the returns, not even knowing it was used again 😜

I found something I’d been searching for since early fall though, a pair of black winter booties😍

This may seem like an easy ‘feat’, (see what I did there?πŸ˜‚ I didn’t even mean to) but it has been a most trying problem up till now and even once I found said pair from winners, I had to check every size, isle and pair I seen, to locate my correct size.

Which I found JUST as I was about to give up and walk away, shoeless.

I seen three other ladies shopping there who attend the same church as us and Mike and my’s earlier conversation of, ‘town really needing either another Winners, or a different store than Winners’ came back to mind 😏😜

Not in order to avoid seeing people from church of course, but to get some variety in stores  😜

That evening we had to drive the little people whom refer to us as Aunt and Uncle, to where they needed to be, to help out their life givers 😏😜

Then, it was silent evening… if you consider watching ‘Mr. Bean’ silent  😏

Trust me, not my first choice of movie… but you have to do hard stuff for your spouse sometimes right? πŸ™„πŸ˜–πŸ˜œ

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
