Again And Again

Monday Dec 4th –

After I made us some French Omeletes for breakfast, Mike and I went to our place to work on getting it completed.

Cleaning, cleaning again, moving stuff, painting small things, moving the same things again etc., filled the day.
Mike worked on patching the trim for the most part and a list of what was required to still buy pre move-in was started.

And that is how our day was spent 💁🏻‍♀️

Mom had hamburger steaks prepared for our supper and then the parents and Mike were off to pickle ball 😏

Tuesday Dec 5th –

French omeletes made again, mostly because Mom had tried a bite the morning before and requested her own for that morning 😉
And then back to the house, again.

Mike worked on painting all the trim, as I am NOT a good person for the kind of paint brush wielding tasks that require any amount of precision 🙈

I cleaned and moved tools and riff raff to the basement, which is a tad terrifying to see, as the upstairs becomes lovely and the basement less so, getting filled with all of the left over building supplies and tools 😜

We spent the whole day there but at the end of it, we were able to roll out the rug and set up the couch to get an idea of how it would look.
Crazy how a couple ‘homey’ pieces change the appearance and feel of a place.

The love is real 😍

Mom made pulled pork, beets, bread, rice and apple coleslaw for supper and not having to cook dinners after the days at the house, was a lovely thing indeed🍴😊

They AGAIN all went pickle balling and I stayed home, meaning to accomplish some things and instead having a short evening nap by accident🙈

Dreams filled of the possibility of finding a kitten the next day 😉😋

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
