Concocting In Chaos

Thursday Dec 14th –

Mom was over to complete her wifi work, so between coffees and chats I worked around the house.
Finding more things to unpack, sort and rearranging to mull over 😜

I hauled a dresser in from the garage and washed it up to take up into the craft room, so I could start organizing in there finally.
Deciding that since I love my living room so much, the craft room will probably be more of a storage/guest area for starts πŸ˜‰

Hubster had cookie business to take care of post work, so he was home late.
My sister had been a dear and sent over a pre-prepared meal to make this ‘move in’ thing easier.
Pull apart buffalo cheese bread, pre chopped veggies, fries portioned for two and even cookies for dessert πŸ˜³πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

So that worked out perfectly as I didn’t want the hassle of making a big meal that late in the evening and it was all super tasty and very appreciated Β πŸ™‚

Friday Dec 15th –

It’s odd but endearing in a way, Atlas, our little she cat, likes to carry things.
Her toy ball, odd play things, the spoon out of my coffee…? πŸ™ˆ

Post coffee and kittens, I began my day by making the father an apple pie 😏
Well.. half of one, as our super helpful neighbour who had worked with Mike on the house, would be getting the other half πŸ˜‰

It took a bit longer than normal, having to scrounge around in the very disorganized pantry to look for ingredients and figure out which bowls and pots were best suited for the task at hand.

Meat was marinated for dinner and then the mother picked me up so I could pack up MORE things from her place and so she could turn what was a table cloth at our wedding, into a shower curtain πŸ˜†

Sounds funny but will look fab, I promise πŸ˜‰

Mike picked me up and we went home, where I prepared a stir fry type dinner for us, using moose meat donated by the brother.

I was really happy with how it turned out, throwing in random veggies and ramen noodles, bathed in a soya-ish sauce πŸ™‚

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
