Goodbye To Best Buy

Tuesday Dec 26th –

We had planned on having Mom and Dad over for brunch but with an extra four humans at their home, we didn’t have enough supplies 😬

So I made it for us, alone 😜

We then went over to the parents to get in some bonding time.
It did feel a little weird for me to not be around in the same house with my sister visiting but they probably liked it since it meant they got their own room 😜

Mike left for town, having more phone stuff to finish figuring out and not being able to call and ask because it was Boxing Day πŸ™„
He found out it couldn’t be done IN TOWN either, because though the local Sasktel stores were open, the main tech ish part was not, sooo nothing could be done! 😠

The kittens depict an accurate portrayal of how we were feeling about all the pointless town trips.

Wednesday Dec 27th –

Mike had one last day to try to right the phone wrongs, so he headed off straight away.

My sister and her people came over to check out the house and kittens later that day and so coffee was brewed, children entertained by the cats and adults entertained by whatever adults discuss 😜

Mike finally got back with some last minute gifts for the European family annnd *drumroll* a new phone!

Though not without MORE issues.
Look, I’m thrilled with my new phone and we needed them anyways and got some money off in the process but after FOUR days and trips into town?
Not sure how strongly I’m recommending Best Buy 😬
Turns out, not only did it take that long, but somehow one of the phones used for a first attempt to set us up with a new account, got sold and so someone else has a device joined with our account??? πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
Supposedly they are opening an investigation about all that went wrong…

Phones aside, we got to enjoy a jambalaya meal with everyone at Mom and Dads that evening.

It’s nice to realize that Mom having company, means I get pre made meals too πŸ˜œπŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ’•

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
