Just A Spoonful Of Sugar

Monday Jan 1st –

I started the new year off with a very non healthy resolution for breakfast.

Brown sugar and cinnamon toast ๐Ÿคค๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

If you by some chance have NOT tried this combo… you know what tomorrowโ€™s breakfast or tonightโ€™s snack should be ๐Ÿ˜

I then sat down to put up my New Years post, a task Tripp didnโ€™t make easy ๐Ÿ™„
But โ€˜kittens are cuteโ€™ she said! …. โ€˜Sheโ€™ being me… and I was telling the truth but forgetting how tiresome a cat that does the same thing over and over and over, can be ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜œ

Like climbing all over the keyboard.

I then made myself a coffee to go and went for a walk.
Yes you read that correctly, a walk, from my house, to the gym behind ๐Ÿ˜œ
Mom had arranged to rent it out and invited some people over to play pickle ball, hang out and eat โ˜บ๏ธ
I observed ๐Ÿ˜Ž

It was also the nieces 6th birthday, so celebratory cupcakes were served post pizza ๐Ÿ˜‰

The activities came to an end… and I hitched a ride back to my place ๐Ÿ˜œ

Tuesday Jan 2nd –

For whatever reason, the warmest vent in our house is located in the bathroom ๐Ÿ™„
So in attempt to get the living room toasty, I leave that door open when possible.

This is what happens when I do…

Or they rip the shower curtain liner ๐Ÿ˜

My older niece came over for the day, later that morning.
The lure of kittens holding fast ๐Ÿ˜‰

I tried to make our afternoon together โ€˜specialโ€™ to a certain degree and offered her coffee while we watched โ€˜The Little Mermaidโ€™ but โ€˜me donโ€™t really like coffee that much ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธโ€™ was her response ๐Ÿ˜œ

So I did what I rarely ever do and made her tea๐Ÿ˜

She got to use the pretty little cup and saucer we got just before moving from Holland and I must admit the tea โ€˜lookedโ€™ good at least ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‹

I made a citrus cucumber salad to take over to Moms to have with her spaghetti and meatball supper, then forgot it at my house ๐Ÿ™ˆ
