Rewards And Retail

(Winnipeg day #4 recap)

The art store we stopped at first, had a multitude of pretty, sparkly papers πŸ˜βœ¨πŸ’•

I had no use for them and that was a little sad but I enjoyed the few moments of iridescent splendour, while there πŸ˜‰

We sat down for lunch at the same restaurant we’d eaten at the first day, Saucers Cafe.

I wasn’t feeling all that wonderful, so a hot bowl of broccoli cheddar soup, sounded just right 🍡

We ate there, so that we’d be ready for the opening of Jenna Rae CakesΒ come noon, as I wanted to make one last stop while I could πŸ˜‰πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ’•

(Also, the big sister needed rewarding for watching my kittens while I was away.
During which time they’d gotten a little sick and she’s had multiple throw ups and doo doo’s to wipe up πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚)

I still never got to experience any cotton candy flavoured macaroons, which was unfortunate but I was thankful my aunt had stopped to be there for opening, as there was a line up out the door, not long after they opened it.

Mumsie and I were then dropped off at Polo Park.
Thinking we’d find some goodies of some kind to take back and walking the entire mall to find out that wouldn’t be happening 😏

We were getting tired of shopping so that didn’t help, but then finding nothing at all to purchase helped even less πŸ™„

I did admire the dining ware and some jewelry at Anthropologie, though my cleaning job isn’t active enough to encourage that kind of lifestyle 😜

Finally we were done and came to rest at Starbucks, rewarding ourselves for conquering one more day of shopping.

There we sat awhile, sipping life fuel and waiting for our ride.

I purchased one sweater on our way out… an urban planet special and though I liked it, it didn’t feel like it should be what I’d come all the way to Winnipeg to buy 😏😜

We drove around admiring the assortment of houses on our scenic route back to the house.
Dining in on leftovers and all watching a movie for the last evening together.
I got a hair massage for the majority of the movie… a major perk of sitting by my one aunt who is an esthetician πŸ˜‰πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
