Meet The Maker

A while ago I did a little ‘Meet The Maker’ bit over on Instagram.

For those of you who don’t have Instagram or maybe missed it, I decided to just bundle it into one post, here ๐Ÿ™‚

So if you want to know a little more about me and what I make, read on ๐Ÿ˜‰

Meet The Maker (and my person Michiel;)

I am Jess, the person spinning the tales of our lives and adventures into readable form and creating the odd thing too ๐Ÿ˜

After getting married, we moved to Europe for 1.5 years, I seen over 18 countries in that time and now we’ve moved back to my hometown where the hubster gave our first home, a huge makeover! We moved into it in December and are now working on the finishing touches, decorating and ‘homing it up’ bit โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ’•

A few things that make up who I am as a human, are as follows…

The ocean is wowย ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป๐ŸŒŠ

ย Vibrant Colors make my insides happy ๐ŸŒˆ

Popcorn with more salt and vinegar seasoning and butter, than actual popcorn๐Ÿฟ

Coffeeโ˜•๏ธโ˜•๏ธโ˜•๏ธ

Day dreaming > talking with people๐Ÿ’ญ

Pj’s๐Ÿ’ค

Foodie ๐Ÿด

Family๐Ÿ’•

Kittens.

Hygienic but abhor having to shower ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜–

What I Make

I have a pretty rambunctious imagination so IDEAS are something I am rarely short on. Patience, funds, skill and ambition, are ๐Ÿ˜œ

I dabble in whatever the wind carries my way but mostly I blog, I paint and make cement decor pieces, try a variety of DIY things and I enjoy bringing good food to the table. Literally ๐Ÿ˜‰

( I also enjoy lame puns ๐Ÿ˜‰

Where, When And Workspace

Where? Saskatchewan.

When? Late morning into the afternoon/late evening…pretty much anytime besides early morning ๐Ÿ˜œ

Workspace? It used to be the kitchen island at my moms place but since the move into our own house, it is the left corner of our living room couch ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

Why Do I Make

Well…why not??

I grew up with my mother mentoring creativity in my, since my very beginning.

So you see, I simply had no choice in the matter๐Ÿ˜

I create because my brain would ache if I didn’t try to let the ideas out and I blog so the words come out better than if I spoke them and to keep family afar, up to date on our lives.

I create because for every piece I hate, once in a blue moon there comes one I love too โ˜บ๏ธ

Although I may not love all I make, I am blessed with good health, supportive family and friends and the freedom to be able to try โ˜บ๏ธ

Work In Progress

I am always working on the blog and new ideas are tested and imagined constantly.

I am a work in progress, what I create is a work in progress… isn’t LIFE entirely, just that?

ย I pray I can work towards a better me and bettering others lives in someway โ˜บ๏ธ

Shop/ Where To Buy

Direct message me on Instagram, shoot me an email (jessica_rose95@live.com) or leave a comment here on the blog ๐Ÿ™‚

My art pieces are available to be sent worldwide.

My cement pieces less so, I am sure you understand why ๐Ÿ˜‰ But, they can be locally picked up/delivered.

A random thing to throw in the mix but I also sell pies locally ๐Ÿ™‚

I did make mugs at one time but those are all sold out, would anyone be interested in more mugs/apparel/accessories? Let me know in a comment or DM ๐Ÿ˜„

PLEASE, leave a comment! I want to know what makes YOU, you, whether you consider yourself a ‘maker’ or not ๐Ÿ˜„

What inspires you? What is something that gets your eyes sparkling and sides happy dancing?

(Not like, gurgling, cause that usually means hunger or ya know…#2)

Hello humans ๐Ÿ˜Š This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life ๐Ÿ˜Š

  1. All sorta of randomness inspire me…bright colors, flowers, the ocean and all things tropical.
As for eye sparkling excitement…coffee, new comfy pjs, a good cookie, and many other things!
I would definitely be into more mugs and apparel ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’•

Also love good coffee and a good coffee shop is always welcomed also.
    Trying new food!!!
Travel used to be on my list, I would go as often as I could. Most people worked for a living. I worked for a journey. Saved til I could go somewhere else. …… but with kiddos, my traveling days are over…. well limited for a few years anyway lol
    What else?
Quality time with friends and fam
Freshly stained wood (not even sure why that makes me smile so much but it does)
Fresh clothes out of the dryer
Brown paper packages tied up with strings….
These are a few of my favorite things ๐Ÿ™‚

    Always enjoy your posts ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. You already know about me and carry a bunch of those interesting (๐Ÿคช) traits. Donโ€™t thank me now, theyโ€™ll come in handy when you take care of me ๐Ÿคฃ Love to see what your creating as it in turns inspires me. I love your writing even though I usually know what your up to now that you live in my country. Your pies are top notch and I may never make another if I can order them fresh from you.
