Diddly Until Departure

Monday March 5th –

On Monday I did diddly.
Like, even less than usual.
Why? Because I was poolside in +20 weather… and my drawing stuff was in the truck my husband had taken for the day and I wasn’t in my own home 😜

But that was ok, coming from -30 to +20’s should satisfy anyone, β€˜weather’ you can keep mentally stimulated or not πŸ˜œπŸ‘ŒπŸ»β˜€πŸŒ΅

There were plans to go out and do some shopping but those plans changed and instead we quickly went out for supper at In-N-Out with the fam, enjoying it as always and then we hit up a park for the guys to kick around the soccer ball.

Once the sun faded it was time to re-locate to some bleachers to witness a baseball game that some guys from church were in.
So we spent our evening there, kind of watching, mostly not 😜

And then of course snack time… once again at In-N-Out because Chick-fil-A was closed 😏

I apologize for zero food pictures, sometimes you just have to enjoy the food without taking time to photograph it, ok? 😜

Tuesday March 6th –

Well, I’d remembered to get my papers out of the truck but not my pencils and paintbrushes πŸ™„
Sooo one mechanical pencil was found and made due with, again poolside πŸ˜‰πŸ˜œ

I’d planned on Hubby returning early from that days brotherly bonding but that ended up not working out, so again no shopping happened, as we were invited over to a couples house for dinner, along with the fam and some others ☺🍴

We dined on orange chicken, fried quinoa and veggies, salad and pot stickers πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
Enjoying it all, multiple times 😜

It was so nice to be able to sit outside to eat the meal and then retire to couches fireside for the rest of the evening πŸ’•
Actually being able to stay outside for longer then 5 minutes and stay comfortably heated was a
welcome change 😏

Wednesday March 7th –

Can you guess what occupied most of my morning?😏
Oh how’d you know?!😜

Husband once again went to hang out with his brother that morning and after I was done pool watching (I didn’t know there would be a pool so I hadn’t picked any swim stuff 😩) I packed up our stuff and rid the apartment of evidence of us 😜

Mike met up with a friend for lunch but I wasn’t hungry so instead I explored Hobby Lobby, a store that indeed takes time to get through πŸ€“

I know the variety and selection is greater almost anywhere in comparison to Sask. but the options and prices available on multiple hands, would be so nice to have when decorating a home 😩

Mike and I then quickly went through a few stores and made our way to the airport for our 6:30 flight to Calgary, where I spent an hour or so painfully walking around trying to get normal blood flow back into my legs.

It would seem I have a problem, after sitting for a longer amount of time I have bad pain in my calves, indicating ‘the sludging of blood’ 😜
Otherwise known as needing compression socks I’m pretty sure πŸ™ˆ

Pain aside, the next flight went fine and we were picked up by Mother and dropped off at home around 3:00 or so am.
Our short but long road trip/vacation coming to its end.

…and major clean up of the basement required, after the kittens had done their best to destroy it whilst we were away and our neighbour was peeking in on them from time to timeΒ πŸ™„

Hello humans 😊 This is where you learn about me I suppose, though anyone reading this right now most likely knows all the boring details ;) I am Jessica Rose Peters-Hagenouw. (Always thought I'd be able to pronounce my married name but hey, life doesn't go as we plan.) June 11, 1995, tis the day Robert and Bonnie Peters received the most adorable, amazing, wonderful, surprise 3rd child they could have dreamed of. Speaking of being the third child, I have an older brother and an older sister. Both of whom are married and have wee little families of their own, making 'Aunty Jess' another name I go by. I grew up and have lived all of my years up till November 2015 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Making summers that are extremely short and winters that never end, vast open spaces, northern lights, unthinkable amounts of mosquitoes, lakes, forests and people waving to you on the grid road all different things that mean = Home. But Home is not where I'll be for some time. My husband is a Dutchman, living in Europe. Therefore I too have been living in Europe for the last few months. The reason I started this little blog/journal/writing thing, is to document a bit of my "whole new world," for those at home who wont be awake at 3:00 am wanting to hear about how I couldn't find flour at the grocery store. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek into my little life 😊
