Living With Distractions

Sunday Feb 5th –

Mike made us bacon and eggs for breakfast before we headed off to Germany for church.

Once again it was nice to have someone with, to whom I could discuss the differences of the service, big or small and know she too would see them as different and not as silly things not worth mentioning ๐Ÿ˜œ

New faces were introduced and it helped in piecing together our family for Zoe’s future information and then we headed out to get lunch.

To the Greek! ๐Ÿ˜

(Where else on a Sunday afternoon Right?!)

Mike ordered take away since we were invited to eat at our cousins house and that’s where we hung out for a little bit of the afternoon.

Once we made it back to the apartment
Zoe and I crashed… until 7 that evening ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜

And we mostly only got up because Mike began making noise ๐Ÿ˜œ

We felt pretty drained, as per usual after extensive napping ๐Ÿ˜‹
So our evening was spent in various forms of non taxing entertainment. Continue reading “Living With Distractions”

A Fire Filled Evening

Friday Dec 23rd –

Well, Mike had left early that morning with Dad to hopefully get a little more excitement then he was getting at the house with Mom and I ๐Ÿ˜

Where I was happy to be left home not only for warmths sake but because it was bread day.
And bread day, is a good day๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿž
I pretty much just watched and waited as mom created dozens of butter horns, loaves of bread and poppy seed filled rolls.

The smell being almost good enough to taste itself, how I’d missed moms bread.

Finally I felt useless after sitting and watching long enough so I went to go take care of my cats litter box issues ๐Ÿ˜œ

Once I returned and washed up mom called me to the kitchen, telling me something bad had happened ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Two little butter horns had dropped on the floor, thus they needed someone to eat them!
Who would have to eat the possibly disease ridden morsels?
Who could get rid of them so the others wouldn’t have to suffer? Continue reading “A Fire Filled Evening”

You’re The Pool To My Villa

Wednesday Oct 5th –

We weren’t super close to town and I also really didn’t feel like getting ready to go into town again, so breakfast was a mix of granola bars and cookies bought at the grocery store the day before ๐Ÿ˜‹

Then, to the poolside ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Weather was awesome, pretty much pure sunshine after a few clouds passed by and perfect for sun bathing and trying to get hot enough to jump in the chilly pool ๐Ÿ˜‹

Mike couldn’t handle just sitting still and eatingย the frozen pizza we had bought for lunch so he went to town and foundย some bakery goodies and coffees โ˜บ๏ธ

The breads were very tasty and cheese filled, (as much of the Greek stuff is) the espresso iced coffees perfect for the lounging life and the dessert… confusing ๐Ÿ˜œ

It had the same filling as baklava but instead of being between sheets of phyllo it had a stringy, almost dry noodle like pastry surrounding it and it was such a weird texture it really weirded out the mouth and it did notย get finished ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

After eating we decided to jump into the pool and just get it over with๐Ÿ’ฆ
No time to waste tiptoeing in all slow and shivery like ๐Ÿ˜

The Buying Bug Has Bitten

Tuesday Sept 27th –

After Inge and I enjoyed the breakfast prepared for us by Mike, it was mostly get ready for town and head out.

Mike and I had returns to do and an apartment paper to sign but it turned into a longer outing then expected due in part to walking down a street we don’t normally take and spotting new shops to peak in ๐Ÿ˜

Back To Real Life… Disco Dipped Style

Tuesday Sept 13th –

No rushed morning of getting ready, packing up and signing out of a hotel, it was a grand trip but it’s also much nicer to enjoy a morning in ‘kind of’ your own room.

Mike had work and unloading the car duty, I had Jemstory to start catching up on as well as unpacking.

Lunch was some quickly prepared and eaten fresh pasta we had brought back with us from Italy and then into Arnhem we went to take Savannah shopping.
