Goodbye To Best Buy

Tuesday Dec 26th –

We had planned on having Mom and Dad over for brunch but with an extra four humans at their home, we didnโ€™t have enough supplies ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

So I made it for us, alone ๐Ÿ˜œ

We then went over to the parents to get in some bonding time.
It did feel a little weird for me to not be around in the same house with my sister visiting but they probably liked it since it meant they got their own room ๐Ÿ˜œ

Mike left for town, having more phone stuff to finish figuring out and not being able to call and ask because it was Boxing Day ๐Ÿ™„
He found out it couldnโ€™t be done IN TOWN either, because though the local Sasktel stores were open, the main tech ish part was not, sooo nothing could be done! ๐Ÿ˜  Continue reading “Goodbye To Best Buy”

Nonsensicality’s And Merriment

Sunday Dec 24th –

We didnโ€™t have eggs so Mike got out of breakfast duty and I just made us some yogurt bowls.

โ€˜โ€˜Twas a fresh day indeed, -30 ish being the biting cold temperature that we faced during the four steps to the parents truck that morning ๐Ÿ˜œ

I ashamedlyย admit to being fairly tired during that morning service and because of that, I have no educational tid bits to share

๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฃ

After church, we were invited over to lunch at Mom and Dads.
She said it was potluck but only AFTER I arrived, so she supplied the entire, super tasty meal ๐Ÿ˜‰ Continue reading “Nonsensicality’s And Merriment”

Core Values Challenged

Wednesday Dec 21st –

I mixed up some meatballs and sauce for our supper that night and then Mother retrieved me and I went to her house for the day.

She had requested my help with a big house clean and in return she would help pay for my plane ticket to Winnipeg in January.

Thatโ€™s right, start of the new year Mom, my aunts, a cousin and I will meet up in Winnipeg for some girl time!

So, if you have been or live there, please let me know some โ€˜must doโ€™sโ€™!
I believe we will be staying around the Osborne Village area.

So, our whole day was spent cleaning and all that entails, including one extra WEIRD thing Mom made me do.
If I hadnโ€™t wanted to have my ticket paid off I would have refused to do the one task she requested, simply because it went against every grain in my being and maybe even my core values :p

She got me to take down clothes from her closest and re-hang them on hangers that matched her other onesโ€ฆ
Had this meant she started with a multi colored, plastic and velvet mixture I would understand.
But she went from plastic whites, to different shaped plastic whitesโ€ฆ

Anyways, we had a good a time as two people can have while house cleaning and then she took me home.
I heated up a large batch of the mozzarella tomato sauce, knowing that Mike would soon be able to get more of the packaged mix when he goes to Europe ๐Ÿ˜‰

We enjoyed our supper and spent the rest of our evening relaxing and kitten watching.
I urged Mike to take photos of them while they are still young and cute because that’ll be over soon :p Continue reading “Core Values Challenged”

Concocting In Chaos

Thursday Dec 14th –

Mom was over to complete her wifi work, so between coffees and chats I worked around the house.
Finding more things to unpack, sort and rearranging to mull over ๐Ÿ˜œ

I hauled a dresser in from the garage and washed it up to take up into the craft room, so I could start organizing in there finally.
Deciding that since I love my living room so much, the craft room will probably be more of a storage/guest area for starts ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hubster had cookie business to take care of post work, so he was home late.
My sister had been a dear and sent over a pre-prepared meal to make this ‘move in’ thing easier.
Pull apart buffalo cheese bread, pre chopped veggies, fries portioned for two and even cookies for dessert ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

So that worked out perfectly as I didnโ€™t want the hassle of making a big meal that late in the evening and it was all super tasty and very appreciated ย ๐Ÿ™‚

Friday Dec 15th –

Itโ€™s odd but endearing in a way, Atlas, our little she cat, likes to carry things.
Her toy ball, odd play things, the spoon out of my coffee…? ๐Ÿ™ˆ Continue reading “Concocting In Chaos”

An Inaccurate Portrayal

Monday Nov 6th –

Monday was boring from a written down point of view ๐Ÿ˜

Nothing out of the ordinary, the usual this and that, all very uninteresting ๐Ÿ™„

Supper was a little interesting through in the fact that Mike had bought some souvlaki pork things to tryย and we impatiently waited for them to grill.

They turned out to be pretty good, a nice change from other forms of pork and reminiscent of our times in Greece ๐Ÿ˜‰

Tuesday Nov 7th –

The morning was spent with high levels of procrastination. Continue reading “An Inaccurate Portrayal”

Food, Floral And Fuel Sources, For Your Information

Wednesday Oct 18th –

It had indeed been a breezy night, the whirling and gusting making for a slightly restless sleep…

or so I was told ๐Ÿ˜œ

All others who occupy the house were away, so ”twas a day of self reflection ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜œ

Not actually, I just did odds and ends and had to decide what to make for supper.

Peanut chicken with zucchini noodles was the poison of choice as we had zucchini, which isn’t always the case, and the sister had tried the recipe and recommended it ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿป

A colorful variety of veggies came together and a delicious sauce began to blend.
