French Toast Casserole

Here’s the recipe I used for the french toast casserole!

I didn’t have the one from home and the people who could get it to me were sleeping when I needed it so I found this one via Pinterest at ‘ Creme De La Crumb Blog ‘

Below is the recipe I got from her blog but be sure to check out her page, I’m pretty sure I’ll be trying a few more of her recipes πŸ˜‰

Will My Expectations Be Squashed?

Wednesday Nov 9th –

I could hardly talk due to throat issues and the first sweet words I uttered to Mike were that I needed a Kleenex.

Second words were for him to look at how Fiji was chilling by the balcony 😜

Just can’t seem to shake this germ but at least it’s only bad in the mornings and evenings.
Annnnd I can still taste coffee… it’s always so sad when your sick and don’t want coffee πŸ™„

We sat down to drink our coffees and chill for a moment while waiting for the guys to come over.
Guys being Mikes cousin and a friend visiting from the states.

They arrived shortly after 10:00 am and after about an hour of catching up and exploring the apartment, (cause seeing the whole place totally takes that long😏) they headed off to discover Amsterdam.

I stayed at the apartment and worked on the scripture verse drawing of the day, the blog and making a French toast casserole for the next day’s breakfast.

An Alarmingly Dull Day

Monday Nov 7th –

By Monday I thought my little bit of remaining head cold would be gone but instead it was back stronger πŸ™„

That was sad but a satisfying part of waking up was going to the kitchen and just pressing the button to start the coffee brewing because I prepared it all the night before πŸ˜πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Reading, writing, drawing and blogging, perfect ways to ease into a dreary morning.

Though said morning was interrupted by sirens?? Continue reading “An Alarmingly Dull Day”

An Aroma Of Pure Perfection β˜•οΈ

Tuesday Nov 1st –

I woke up with the sore throat gifted to me from Mikes own slightly ill self πŸ™„

The sun was shining through our window and it looked like a lovely day was ahead, but not so long after the clouds and fog came in πŸ˜•πŸŒ₯

Mike was working from home, meaning I become even less productive and the house stays constantly a tad messy 😏

(Our work station😜)

We finished up the farmers sausage soup and it’ll be some time now until we have it again, farmers sausage from Saskatchewan isn’t so easily mailed😁

There was a plan in place to go for a walk together, but just the idea of that put me in bed for a nap 😜

I woke to smells of something cooking and found Mike had heated up a pizza for us πŸ˜ŠπŸ•

Jem Moment: Home Tour πŸ’•πŸ’πŸ“½

Though we still have the odd photo to hang/item to find a home, the renovations are pretty much completely finished and I (we) figured it was time to show you the whole place all neat and tidy like πŸ˜‰

But first, the before pictures, of course πŸ’πŸ»

Jemstory’s First Story

I can’t believe I let this day pass without some form of recognition 😳

October -14th – 2015 was the official, one year anniversary of Jemstory 😁

Look back on my first official post here ➑️ β€’ Departure.. Or not β€’

(Hopefully an improvement can be seen 😜)

I didn’t expect this to become such a part of my moving away from home but it has and I hope it’s been enjoyable for those of you following along πŸ˜πŸ‘«πŸ’»πŸ—ΊβœˆοΈπŸ΄πŸ’ŒπŸ’•πŸ’Ž

The start of Jemstory began in Costa Rica.
Now, exactly one year later we officially have our first, very own apartment.
It’s been a busy year with many blessings and changes but most of all thanking God for being with us through all of it 😊

Also, thank you for all the likes and comments, it’s special to hear from you all πŸ˜‰
