The Love Smorgasbord

Happy Valentineโ€™s Day โ˜บ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’Œ

Mike and I are the worst gift keepers ever… if we have a gift or know of a gift someone else has for us, we donโ€™t wait well ๐Ÿ˜œ

So in true โ€˜usโ€™ fashion, we gave each other our gifts early ๐Ÿ˜‰

Mike got me a sweet little charm for my Pandora bracelet.

Me. You. Forever.
With a little heart on the back and a bit of sparkle โ˜บ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

I got a shirt made for him with a custom design, listing all the places weโ€™ve traveled together and I plan to get a matching one once I find a shirt๐Ÿ˜œ

We were both pleased and the heavy burden of keeping wrapped gifts, lifted ๐Ÿ˜‚

In honour of love day…I am sharing a littleย smorgasbord of things that Iโ€™ve been loving of late ๐Ÿ˜

The End Of An Era

The time has come…

Iโ€™ve officially made the decision to stop blogging the ‘day to day’ … ๐Ÿ™‚

Up until now, I have enjoyed it and hope you have too but lately it no longer interests me as it did and I think after around two years, it probably holds little interest to others as well ๐Ÿ˜‰

I didnโ€™t want to do this to draw attention to myself or make it seem like I think Iโ€™m something more than I am, so it feels like the time to end โ€˜the everydayโ€™, has come โ˜บ๏ธ

I still plan on posting, as writing has come to be something I really enjoy ๐Ÿค“

Any trips taken, or days filled with fetching details will still be shared, as well as recipes, DIY, home and whatever else I may deem interesting enough
๐Ÿด๐Ÿ๐Ÿก๐Ÿ—บ๐Ÿ’‘

Thanks for reading along this far and as always, questions or suggestions are welcomed ๐Ÿ˜‰

Modren Technology Takes Its Toll

Friday Dec 22nd –

Mother took me into town so I could take care of the cleaning job and then Hubster picked me up so we could go get new phones.

A task that we did not expect to take 4.5 hours
๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

We went to Best Buy so that we could swap our phone contracts over ย from Sasktel, to Bell.
When you do that, you get store credits, money off etc. etcย so it sounded like a good plan and it WAS a good plan, it just took way longer then it should have.
So long in fact that we were told to leave and return the next day ๐Ÿ˜ณ
It may have been the fault of the employees to a point but it was also computer systems, near Christmas etc. and at least they were very friendly.
One even buying us coffees somewhere in the third hour ๐Ÿ˜ Continue reading “Modren Technology Takes Its Toll”

Achievement Level: 500

Two Years, 500 Posts

I applaud myself on this achievement ๐Ÿ˜œ

Did I ever think I would actually complete 500 writing projects/assignments while trying desperately and agonizingly to complete my one or two sentences for a Wordly Wise school assignment?

No ๐Ÿ˜

So, it has been around two years give or take a few days, and I have been thinking a fair bit about what I would do when this two year mark came.

I have decided to (try to) write less about what I may have eaten or how much I may have napped and stop wasting your and my time, with such meaningless dribble ๐Ÿ˜

I won’t stop writing completely because I have actually really enjoyed keeping this blog and I know it will be awesome to look back on.ย

I hope you have all enjoyed it up to this point as well ๐Ÿ˜Š

Flower Of The East ๐ŸŒบ

Thursday Oct 6th –

Good thing we had saved that frozen pizza because it was required for breakfast ๐Ÿ˜

As we ate our poolside pizza, a car pulled up and out came a person of oriental decent, holding a map and having a floppy sun hat upon her head.
She walked past us towards the house (having clearly seen us) and then turned back pointing to her travel plans and saying they got the villa.
Mike in turn pointed to the time it said they got it at, which was 2:00 pm not the current 11:00 am ๐Ÿ˜ณ

She walked away and her and her companions stood confusedly for a few moments before we got the free entertainment of watching them try to back up, turn around and leave ๐Ÿ˜

Some nicknames of Zakynthos include ‘the flower of the east’, seemingly fitting by the blooms found just around the villa.

There was also a lemon tree and a pomegranate tree but neither were quite ready.
There were a few grapes left on the vine as well but those were mostly overripe ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ‡
