A Jem Moment Of Epic Proportions😱🤩👏🏻🏠

Sooo I just re-read my last house update and my goodness has it ever changed since then!😱😄

 

I know I’ve updated a little here and there about the process and specific things that were being worked on so you all aren’t totally clueless thankfully, but prepare yourself for a longer read and mind boggling transformation, non the less 😅

 

The last official writing about the house was when we had just finished demo and the bathroom was getting nearer completion and drywall was beginning 😳

Now, it is a completely renovated and pretty much totally finished project 😱

Thanks-versary

Monday Oct 9th –

Happy thanksgiving-anniversary! 😁💕🍴

Really, perfect timing because when else would you get turkey, stuffing, roasted veggies, buns, steak, scalloped potatoes, gravy and cranberry sauce, for a two year anniversary meal?? 💁🏻

 

And that isn’t even counting the desserts 😏

Mom put out a splendid spread and our guests/pretty much second family, arrived to enjoy it with us, just past noon ☺️

 

 

 

We sat down and stuffed ourselves.

It was delicious and I know MY gut protested, all while my eyes took over filling my plate for the second time 🙈

 

Michiel and I were gifted with our first, potted houseplant and the fuchsia petals and pink veined leaves will be happily displayed come move in time 😉💕 Continue reading “Thanks-versary”

The Model Married Couple *heavy sarcasm 😏

Monday Sept 25th –

After making us some lunch, Mike and I both headed over to the house.

He had spent his morning there but it was time I joined in 😏

The bathroom is shaping into the most complete area of the house 😁

 

 

DIY vanity and countertop installed and sealed? Check.

Mirror that was already in the house, cleaned and re-hung? Check

Window sill scrubbed of grime and shower too? Check 😎

It’s coming together and I’m really happy with it and having to stop myself from going out, shopping for towels, hooks and decor and stay focused on all else that needs completion 😉

Together we assembled a dresser to fit into our bedroom wall.

 

We will have one on each side of the bed.

Since our ceilings upstairs are slanted, we had tons of free space past our bedroom walls, to build IN.

This saving much actual room space and making the dressers look pretty spiffy too😏👌🏻

Mike deep-fried us some chicken fingers and fries for an ultra healthy, heavy on the dipping sauce, kind of meal, which we watched from the sofa while catching up on what ‘Victoria’ had been up to 😜🙈👌🏻

Primed And Ready

Friday Aug 18th –

 

 

The mom and sis were town bound, meaning I was left on little person duty for a while 😏😜

After stuffing them with butter and salt covered noodles, the miniest one went for a nap and I decided to be the awesome aunt and allow a movie for the less mini one 😜

Such a win win situation, she thinks I’m nice for letting her see a movie and I got quiet time to read/relax beside her 😏👍🏻

The guys were at our place, mudding and sanding away (where else would they be 💁🏻) but they returned when the mom and sister did, since they’d brought back Chinese food for lunch🍲

The afternoon brought Bob with it as well, as he had returned from work to spend the weekend with the fam ☺️

Saturday Aug 19th –

 

Mike and I got up and enjoyed coffee and stroopwafels (which are now a daily food item since our basement if full of them😉).

 

 

After Uncle Mike read a couple of books to the early rising Little, we left at 8:30 and began the process of de-dusting the house, which we knew would be no small feat 😬

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

Thursday June 15th –

 

 

Not long after waking up I sat down to add in detail to the living room sketch I began the evening before.

By the time I finished that it was lunch time, Mom having made us some gourmet Kraft dinner with turkey lunch meat cut up and added in for some protein value 😜

I was starving so the first bite was delicious, the second average and by the third… I was realizing Kraft dinner tastes a lot better as a child😜

Mom had the nieces graduation to attend but I deemed it okay to miss, as I didn’t feel like she’d find my presence necessary 😏

Instead I stayed back and worked on supper.

Attempting to make a similar sauce to one we liked in Germany but failing and instead having a normal, spaghetti and meatball meal… and not the creamy mozza and tomato sauce it should have been.
