Friday Oct 28th –
The Canadian coffee beans were nearly all used up, a cause worthy for concern 😬☕️
I started my day by getting the cake decorated.
A fairly quick task but one that always leaves me unsatisfied with the result and sick of icing😜
Guests were bound to arrive so of course that meant a house cleaning.
Ah, such a nice feeling once done ☺️✨🛋

Wednesday Oct 26th –
By Wednesday I was getting into a nice little morning ritual 😊
Roll outta bed, let Fiji out of his room and pet him a bit, get coffee brewing, do a couple of odds and ends until the coffees done and then take it to the nap room and sit in front of the little window and read before truly starting the day 😊☕️📚
After that mornings session was over I had bread from Sarah for breakfast 😏👌🏻
A cheese filled roll was heated up and it tasted pretty much identical to breads we had eaten in Greece 😁
I had internet again so the blog got tended too as well as paperwork I had been putting off🙄

Monday Oct 24th –
Early morning the birds are pretty fun to watch over atop the other apartment building.
I started my morning from the guest/nap room, taking my coffee to the comfy little corner and reading a little before starting the day 😊☕️📚
I read an article in a magazine from my mom and found this piece interesting.
It rings true even if you aren’t a christian, how having an attitude of thankfulness can change how you look at your day/life.
Doesn’t mean I do it enough though 😔
Just something to try to keep in mind more often😊💕
Mike was at the office so it was my first day, in my own place, all alone 😁
Saturday Oct 22nd –
Poffertjes, courtesy of Michiel made up our Saturday mornings fare 😊👌🏻
Annnd then it was time for me to scrub the shower.
I had been pushing it off and pushing it off.
Other people’s fridges kinda gross me out, other people’s pet hair grosses me out, but other people’s showers ??? 😬
Mike helped me mix up a strong cleaning solution and then he went out to get a haircut while I buckled down to scrub out the bathroom.
It wasn’t that dirty but it took a long time none the less.
Mike finally returned (lighter by the amount of hair chopped off I bet🙄 ) and he brought back loempias for us 😊
Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins
I always do at LEAST a double batch, considering I alone would eat four of them for breakfast if I allowed myself 😜
Ingredients:
Wednesday Sept 21st –
Much sitting, laying, writing and picture sorting for that mornings activities.
Ingredients for banana chocolate chip muffins had been picked up the previous day, so those got baked up.
I don’t like banana as a fruit to just eat plain or in ice cream or most desserts, but give me a banana chocolate chip (heavy on the chocolate chip 😉) muffin and I’d happily live off them for days.
Also, I’m not a big breakfast eater and only a few things don’t upset my stomach first thing in the day and those muffins are on that list👌🏻
A muffin warmed and slathered with butter?
For breakfast, brunch and everything between?
