Beginning Afresh, For The Fourth Time

Sunday Dec 10th –

First Sunday preparations from in our own home and Iโ€™m pleased to say a little talk at the parents the night before, inspired Mike to re-step up to the plate of Sunday morning breakfast making ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿณ

Something he had done for a month or two at the beginning of our marriage until he just…didnโ€™t ๐Ÿ˜œ

But his breakfast was good, the sunrise pretty from our kitchen window and the taxi service prompt ๐Ÿ˜‰

Mother and father were giving us a ride ๐Ÿ˜œ
Are we with them too much post move?? I think not, โ€˜โ€˜tis only kind to break them of us easily๐Ÿ˜‰ Continue reading “Beginning Afresh, For The Fourth Time”

Furnishings And Flavoured Lessons

Friday Dec 8th –

After a restless first night at our place, which isnโ€™t a rare form of sleep for me, anywhere, I got up to release the kittens from the pantry, because that’s where kittens are to be kept don’t you know? ๐Ÿ˜œ

How I love the energetic tumbling and purring that come from them after not seeing you for a while ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

They made my morning blogging start slowly, proving to be pretty entertaining distractions๐Ÿ˜

Mike did some work and I tried to tidy a few things before we headed over to moms.
We needed food andย showers as those were items still currently unavailable at our own place ๐Ÿ˜œ

I quickly made a coconut pie while there.
Needing to get theย pie testing finished and photographed so I could make the poster to go up in town, if I still wanted to try selling any before Christmas.

We ate brunch made by Mom and then the three of us went to Saskatoon.
Mike had to do stuff with the work vehicle and Costco and Homesense needed looking through ๐Ÿ˜

I say looking but I mean touching and purchasing ๐Ÿ˜œ Continue reading “Furnishings And Flavoured Lessons”

Monumental Findings And Moments

Wednesday Dec 6th –

I excitedly worked on the home reveal blog post that morning, looking forward to seeing what everyone had to say about it ๐Ÿ˜‰

Then went into town to look at a kitten and clean a house.
The kitten was obviously accepted and an arrangement made to pick her up the next day ๐Ÿ˜

I cleaned for over four hours, making up for time missed while Iโ€™d been away.
You never think of how sore hands can get from wringing out a cloth, until after doing it so repetitively ๐Ÿ˜œ

After supper, Mike and I went to our place which needed re-cleaning all the time and little things which needed doing, never seeming to end ๐Ÿ˜‰
Mike and the bro got the light in our stairwell working and it looks ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’•

Our European lights arenโ€™t seeming to work correctly here ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
The living room chandelier shines so dull that itโ€™s purely for looks and the stairwell light needed a totally new inside piece before it would even turn on.
Fingers crossed something will work out to use our kitchen chandelier ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

Jem Moment x 2

So ever since we got a house pretty much, I’ve been dreaming of being able to get a kitten.

I knew it would have to wait until we were ready to move in, though understanding that made the wait no easier ๐Ÿ˜œ

Mike was even going to get me a kitten for our anniversary but we weren’t moved in yet and he didn’t think I would appreciate him picking one out, without me ๐Ÿ˜

He was correct haha.

So once a more solid ‘move in’ date became clear, I began looking.

I went to look at the black and orange one and promptly decided that yes, she was what we needed ๐Ÿ˜‰

So the next day Mike came with to pick her up and I told him he also had to see the one light orange one just cause he was super cute too.

He picked him up and melted, I pretty much knew right there that it was good thing we had brought a larger box ๐Ÿ˜

So, we happily and perhaps a little unwisely, left with TWO kittens, who are making it difficult to write this even now ๐Ÿ˜œ

I’m thrilled, Mike is very accepting and the pitter patter of their little paws is just what this house was missing ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

We have pretty much decided on the name Atlas, for the small girl who mimics all her brother does, as her splotchy markings reminded me of the shapes seen on a map.

The light orange one isn’t named yet but he is a sturdy guy, reminiscent of a little polar bear when tromping away from us and he is super fluffy. Think lush sheepskin rug ๐Ÿ˜

๏ปฟ15 Quirks Of Jess

15 things about me, the oh sooo interesting Jess ๐Ÿ˜

I know my sleeping and eating patterns are growing old so I will be trying to throw in the odd ‘Jess’ facts and I don’t know what else yet but it shall come to me eventually ๐Ÿ˜

May this be a slightly interesting refresher, enjoy *said accompanied by a flourishy hand motion* ๐Ÿ˜
