Jem Moment x 2

So ever since we got a house pretty much, I’ve been dreaming of being able to get a kitten.

I knew it would have to wait until we were ready to move in, though understanding that made the wait no easier 😜

Mike was even going to get me a kitten for our anniversary but we weren’t moved in yet and he didn’t think I would appreciate him picking one out, without me 😏

He was correct haha.

So once a more solid ‘move in’ date became clear, I began looking.

I went to look at the black and orange one and promptly decided that yes, she was what we needed πŸ˜‰

So the next day Mike came with to pick her up and I told him he also had to see the one light orange one just cause he was super cute too.

He picked him up and melted, I pretty much knew right there that it was good thing we had brought a larger box 😏

So, we happily and perhaps a little unwisely, left with TWO kittens, who are making it difficult to write this even now 😜

I’m thrilled, Mike is very accepting and the pitter patter of their little paws is just what this house was missing πŸ˜‰πŸ’•πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

We have pretty much decided on the name Atlas, for the small girl who mimics all her brother does, as her splotchy markings reminded me of the shapes seen on a map.

The light orange one isn’t named yet but he is a sturdy guy, reminiscent of a little polar bear when tromping away from us and he is super fluffy. Think lush sheepskin rug 😏

Sincerely And Satisfactorily

Saturday Dec 2nd –

Sick of hearing about pies yet? 😏
Well… plug your eyes and read no more 😎

Apple pie… the one I really was not looking forward to making at all, as I wouldn’t enjoy the β€˜fruits’ of my labour 😜

Still it had to be done and I knew Michiel and Dad would appreciate it so that helped… kind of😏

Mom made pizzas for us all for lunch and then Mike and I retreated to the house. Continue reading “Sincerely And Satisfactorily”

Click And Collect

Tuesday Nov 28th –

Pie number two began its transformation from ingredients to a plate-able experience.

Peanut butter filling with a chocolate crumb crust πŸ₯œπŸ«πŸ₯§

Amidst the making of that, I shopped some of the remaining sales available online, still searching for a reasonably priced/correct size bench for our entryway.
To no avail.

Hubster was working at our place, filling some spaces with spray foam, finishing some edges and getting a few of the last boards in place on ledges and what not.
SOON a house update shall come 🀞🏻

I packed up more of our room, moving things closer to the door so stuff can be taken over each time someone goes.
I’ll need to re go through all the boxes while unpacking and get rid of, as people just moving into a house shouldn’t already have so many items pretty sure 😬

I may also have glanced online as to what kittens were available in our area πŸ™ˆ
If you’re in the area and know if any white/grey/Siamese look, female kittens, please let me know πŸ˜‰πŸ’• Continue reading “Click And Collect”

The Last Of The Tropic Vibes

Wednesday Nov 22nd –

We’d planned the night before, to get ready as soon as possible the next morning and go spend the day at Hapuna beach.

We ate almond poppy seed muffins from Costco for breakfast.
My pretty much all time favourite muffin, which Canada Costco’s do not carry??!πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„

We made it to β€˜our’ spot on the beach and settled right into shell hunting… interesting how quickly people claim things as their own no? 😏

Mike got into the shelling too, his long arms proving useful in emptying out the sandy holes created by the springs merging into the oceanπŸ˜‰

We did that for a while, getting enough good shells to keep on hunting through the treasure-less stretches, until the next treasure was claimed by someone, encouraging the rest of us to search through one more handful and so on and so forth πŸ˜‰

The smallest sheller of us all, had to watch that she didn’t fall INTO some of the larger sandy holes but she was copying and showing all her magnificent β€˜finds’ for awhile too, having no chance at growing up to NOT care about the oceans loot πŸ˜‹

We sun bathed, tried and failed at staying sand-less, walked along the expanse of beach and just gloried in the last official beach day together πŸ’•β˜€οΈπŸŒŠ Continue reading “The Last Of The Tropic Vibes”

Jem Moment – A Fantastic Photo Album

So we received our wedding photo album (weeks and weeks ago, this is just a late post 😜) which I created using MixBook and we are super happy with it!!

I signed up with them and yes, got a lot of emails but many of which included pretty decent sales.

I was able to get the highest quality paper AND flat lay option forΒ cheaper thanΒ their lower quality book at regular price πŸ’πŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

They also shipped to us in a fairly short amount of time ☺️

What I’m saying is a recommend using them 😎

Here are some page peeks 😊 Continue reading “Jem Moment – A Fantastic Photo Album”

Little And Less

Tuesday Oct 3rd –

If I don’t keep up with writing, I remember nothing πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

I know I worked out (trying to get back into after the trip to Az ruined meπŸ™„) and Mike worked at the house, putting up some more trim and what not.

He checked the mail and the wedding photo albums for our mothers had arrived and they looked great, so we happily awaited ours, which would be slightly larger πŸ’‘πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ“š

Wednesday Oct 4th –

Michiel had work to do with the bush business and Mother was out and about, so I had the house to myself and things to accomplish. Continue reading “Little And Less”
